Tarm: I sold my C64 about 15 years ago. The stupidest gaming related thing I've ever done.

I have 4 in the cupboard 3 meters away from me, hehe, One of them has been with me since 1986, and i'm not parting with it.

Ditto, except it was my NES.

Retail or digital market ? If digital, what kind of bonuses can we expect ?
Oh, there's news on Kotick in the new Escapist News Network;)
"it cant be a coincidence!" :D

Secondhand in retail.;)
Digital in forms of addons to games, like Nuclear Sock to keep Your Duke warm. [yes, it's supposed to be a double entendre]. or, the aformentioned System Sock, that procects You from the SHODAN Flu on cold winter nights, or when the heating on Your local space station dies.
Also, the Sierra Sock, for Your Leisure Suit Larry needs.. ;P

Don't forget all the Socker Games.

El_Caz: My guess: Activision Blizzard, starting off with Arcanum, of Steamworks and magic obscura and I guess we'll see more of Sierra's catalog and less of Blizzard's since they have their own store.

Activision has it's own store too: http://digitaldownloads.activision.com/
Still it could be just Sierra.
As I mentioned before someone in this thread, Activision has Sierra for sale.
Renewed interest by gamers in Sierra IP raises Sierra's value.
Besides, Kotick is all about making money.
Not selling old titles means not making money out of them.
I'm not guessing anymore who it is, I'll wait and see.
Too many clues can link to too many different games and publishers.
Sierra would be nice, Sierra and Activision would be nicer, EA would be even better.
As for Activision/Blizzard, has anyone seen any clue leading to Blizzard with exception of that characters clue?
A clue which I still think refers to game characters.

Lehti: "The Return Of Awesome Karmic Awareness" + clues about Arcanum means that Troika is involved.
"A messenger is not named for a soldier, but precedes one" could be Gabriel (messenger) Knight (Soldier) => Sierra.
Currently, ActiBlizz owns the rights to both catalogues, so that's my guess. Would also explain the two characters (A and B) that complement each other beautifully.

Runehamster: Huh...nice reasoning there. I've seen Gabriel Knight mentioned a buncha times now, but never heard of it. Got to go look that up.

Once you put it that way, Lehti, that made all kinds of sense. But is there a duo (an "odd couple" if you will) in Sierra's or Troika's titles that "go together beautifully"? It's definitely not A & B, I am thinking game characters, and the only two characters that "go together beautifully" are Sam & Max, but that isn't Sierra, that's LucasArts. So the clues can probably fit 2 (or possibly all 3) out of the "big 3" (EA, LucasArts, and ActiBlizz).
BJ
Alright, I'm gonna go with almost definitely Sierra, and whoever owns it (Activision, or whoever it is ;-) and I think it would be AWESOME if EA came on too, though I kinda doubt that...
If I can just get my hands on a DRM-free copy of the Homeworld series, I'll be insanely happy!!!!
I hope they will release more than one game tomorrow. :)

Arteveld: On the side, Mikee, PLEEEASE work on releasing all titles in 2 languages, really, as far as i understand the needs of those who don't know the language, You are not really kind to those who love games in their original form.:P

There is one difficulty. English is international language now. Then if we choose any other language gamers from other countries won't feel so good about it. Exactly as I feel now when cannot have Polish Xbox Live, or buy music from Itunes.
But hmmm some day this difficult decision has to be made. And as a Polish company, putting here games in Polish in the first place may be understood by other nations;) We'll see...
BTW: other problem are the legal issues with a rights to translations and voices, with older games it is often quite a big legal mess, so this is a big stopping factor as well. Already tracing rights for older games is often more complicated than quests in the witcher;) We don’t want to stuck in this game;) by raising too much difficulty level (and sometimes is on the nightmare level already;)
