I don't think it is a single publisher or game.
I think with such a countdown, it will be SEVERAL announcements into one.
I'll find out when I wake up tomorrow, anyway. :P
My final guess is still Squeenix / Eidos. Nobody more epic. Ever.

Andy_Panthro: Wasn't that speech to a very specific audience? I don't quite see the correlation between that and the inability for them to join up with GOG.
Seems more that he was painting the image of himself as a harsh boss, one that would be very efficient and increase profit margins by any means necessary (as he is expected to do...).

I'm thinking that even at the annual bicyclers' meeting, the CEO of a car manufacturer shouldn't express that he's actively trying to stop the trend of creating safer and more energy efficient cars, but instead will focus on creating the same gas-guzzler his company has been creating for the last decade, only with more brittle plastic and less sturdy metal, and raise the price no less.
No, it doesn't have anything about him being less likely to join GOG, he probably sees an opportunity to get some money out of old games that he cannot sell anywhere else.

Delixe: I still can't see Activision signing on. It just goes against everything that Kotick has worked towards for the past 10 years.

haha, so true. they are still charging us $20 for the first Call of Duty for christ sake!
The interview Mikee posted is about the Optimus - CD Projekt fusion, and entering the stock market, there's a lot of technical money term talk, crisis here, good financial situation for 2010.
Then, there's talk about a conference scheduled tor the 2nd half of march 2010, which will carry the topics announced In Q4 2009: The WItcher 2, gog.com [where he said that ONE of the big three will join GOG.com tomorrow]. Then there's talk about Witcher on multiple platforms. PC first, consoles later. At the end they mention a plan to enter the hardware market.
Guys.. You've bribed Kotick! :D
On the side, Mikee, PLEEEASE work on releasing all titles in 2 languages, really, as far as i understand the needs of those who don't know the language, You are not really kind to those who love games in their original form.:P
Thx Arteveld.

Interesting... I'd like to know a bit more about that.
Perhaps it isn't any publisher but a kind of emulator able to run older games on any systems without troubles and improve their graphics. I'm probably dreaming.

Cambrey: Thx Arteveld.

No pro, sorry for making it a bit too brief.;)

Andy_Panthro: Interesting... I'd like to know a bit more about that.

Optimus is a hardware producer and distributor. The interview didn't say much on the subject, it was thrown in there more like an idea that they would think over somewhere in the future. And since it is connected to the e-distribution, i just hope it has nothing to do with cloud computing. ;)

Start making Commodore 64 and Amiga 500 again!
Oh, and that's Mikee on the video, and he aaaaaaaaaalmost said "we're releasing games from the 3 biggest publishers". Now, i don't want to start some rumors... ;)

Ok so 12 hours to go and I'm off to bed. Going to have to try and sneak a look at work tomorrow to find out the result.
I'm going to plump for Activision but whoever it is it looks like one of the big three so no complaints from me.
Would be funny to get i-pad support but I think as most others here that guy was trying to hijack this thread. I'm impressed by the intellect of you all not to fall for it....

Mikee: ...aaahhh.. I forget, there is also brand new new video interview:-)))))
http://biznes.onet.pl/wideo/klip.html#6066987,c=11 but for that you need to find Polish volunteers to translate main points (there quite a few of them is on gog). Actually this might not be so interesting for you as it is more business oriented and most what I said there about GOG you already know (without 1 point as far as I remember;) actually in some areas you know far more than anybody else;)

I don't understand a word but i like the t-shirt ;)

Miaghstir: You can read about him on Wikipedia, among other places.
A quote from the same page:
During a speech at the 2009 Deutsche Bank Securities Technology Conference, Kotick received significant criticism for stating, "We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games." Kotick later stated he tries to promote an atmosphere of "skepticism, pessimism, and fear" in his company and, "We are very good at keeping people focused on the deep depression."

This is absolutely true. He was speaking to a room full of bankers and was addressing the company's attitude in an recessive economic climate, and not the creative or company culture as a whole. But a lot of people have taken that comment the wrong way, partly because I believe they wanted to.

I sold my C64 about 15 years ago. The stupidest gaming related thing I've ever done.

Skreczi: only 12 more hours... Are you guys exited? :D
