I gotta agree, it was fun indeed. Still is, in fact. After all, GOG isn't all about Good Old Games, but also about a classy community - and this thread shows that beautifully.

I agree that this thread and the guessing have been mighty fun and whatever the announcement will be is icing on the cake. It even got me to start posting. :)

I'm not convinced it's EA AND Activision. They're pretty much mortal enemies right now. Their back-and-forth in the music genre is VICIOUS. I'd imagine Activision would see EA popping up on GOG and going "We'll start our OWN service! And we'll charge $4.99!"

Ahh smeg it, I'm throwing my worthless fake-money into the EA pile (because they're trying to dominate the nws with this apparently unremarkable apple tablet thing) with a small side bet on Lucasarts
I still reserve the right to gloat though because I originally guessed STUFF and I think I'll be proven right.

it will be a maximum of one sock. but i don't think i can possibly avoid it now. especially since my final guess now includes one of the previous conditions in which i would have to eat a sock.

Well, damn, EA and Acti [Sierra] is fine with me, and it actually fits almost all clues. But which EA license? 2 characters as in Bull+Frog? Or Avatar+Silencer, and the karmic/preceeding as in Origin? ;)

You could also turn that around. Would EA or Activision risk losing face by NOT joining, knowing that their mortal enemy has?
I still can't see Activision signing on. It just goes against everything that Kotick has worked towards for the past 10 years. If Activision has signed on then Bobby probably doesn't know about it yet.
