Khalaq: Case for Sierra/Activision:
Title: Expect the Unexcelled (the best games of Sierra/Activision? The biggest deal yet?)
1. The return of incredible karmic awareness. (no idea, here)
2. Where history overlaps with the present time. (Day of the Tentacle? No, that's LA)
3. They are two different characters, but they complement each other beautifully. (some game or other)
4. A messenger is not named for a soldier, but precedes one. (Gabriel Knight)
5. Ohio's secret place. (Arcanum, Ohio --> Arcanum, the game)
Perhaps you guys can help fill in the blanks?
-Khalaq

1. Voodoo and/or the reincarnated romance of Gabriel Knight and Malia Gedde(GK1).
2. Same (GK1 has two similar stories from vastly different times that are explained in parallel.)
3. Gabriel Knight and Grace Nakamura (GK1 again).
4. Spot on, GK again.
5. Arcanum makes tons of sense here.
So yeah, Gabriel Knight: Sins of The Fathers and Arcanum are coming.
People should reallllly be looking at mikee's last post on this page!
I think it's The Neverhood. No basis, I just want to see it.

No post, no matter how logical, is going to stop the random guessing of those who want to warp the truth around their dreams. It's the stuff this thread has thrived off of.

cogadh: Well, I was all over the place with my posts, but the only clear guesses I have made were EA (way back at the beginning of the thread) and, of course, Sierra/Activision.

Wolfox: And that's why I used some simple logic to deduce that it's both of them - EA and Activision. ;-)

That would be too awesome for words. Almost too awesome to be true. The only thing that would be better than that would be EA, Activision and LucasArts.
They are two different characters, but they complement each other beautifully.
This sounds like Planescape. Does anyone know who owns the rights?
If EA and Activision join GOG, it's pretty safe to say that everyone will possibly follow - Lucasarts included.

Too true, if we get those kinds of heavyweights around here, pretty much everyone will fall in line. That's why it doesn't really matter to me if it is one or both of them; one is still enough ammo to get the other, which will lead to everyone else.

Wolfox: You forgot to mention that we'll also need to be online to play the games, through the new "GOGonline.com" service. And pay a monthly charge to keep playing them, along with a monthly charge if you want to use savegames.

Zeewolf: But all this will "enrich" our gameplay experience, so it's all good really.

Exactly! Now where have I heard that before...? ;-)
Mikee is clearly toying with our emotions. I want to knock myself out and wake up tomorrow.

Nobody. It's Interplay's game, but they don't have the D&D license anymore. Which means they can't legally sell it. WotC are fighting a legal battle with Atari over that very license.
OK I am absolutely convinced again. And this time I think my answer may not change. So FINAL ANSWER:
EA and Activision
Mikee's latest clue, along with the "Two different characters, but they complement each other beautifully" clue, and the fact that we have found such good evidence for clues on both sides of the EA/Acti argument have convinced me.
And to be honest, I hardly care anymore what the end result is. This whole guessing thread was the most fun I've ever had on the GOG forums!

What no "I will eat my sock if I'm wrong"? I'm not convinced that you're convinced without that.
I WILL EAT MY SOCK IF I AM WRONG!
P.S. If you search this thread for 'sock' there are three full pages of posts :)

vlight: Conclusion:
Activision Blizzard and Electronic Arts.
