DrIstvaan: Hey, if you want it so badly, why don't you eat a sock? It's better than your promise (which you'll never have to keep) anyway ;-).

Why would I have to eat a sock? I never promised that. If it's Acti/Blizz as most people seem convinced it is then Capfitz gets a free game from me. From his point of view thats a good deal.
Guys, it is Activision, but they're starting with SIerra, kinda like the "countdown to a countdown", the Retro Vault of Activision opens, Level 1: Many Quests. ;)
GOG: Give up yer Oldies!
Kotick: Harr! Over my dead body!
GOG: Give up yer Sierras!
Kotick: What? Who? Oh, ok.

Yes yes, I know, I only said if you want such an internet meme so badly, you'd better do it yourself :-).

I'm still not convinced it's Acti/Blizz so in my mind there is a very good chance of seeing Capfitz stuffing his sock in his gob. If this happens it would be a criminal waste for it NOT to become a new internet meme.

Well, you could... *cough* hack *cough* in and edit his post so it would say "i'll eat my sock if it's ActiBlizz."... :)
Hi All,
I wasn't here for a while (busy a lot with other stuff) I'll go through this "small" topic and give you some more feedback. The final hour is close;)

If you go through this topic before posting feedback we'll get it after the announcement. ><

Aliasalpha: You and me both mate.

Eating a sock is one thing, but let's not go too far with the stunts.

Wealin: I remember that, could not even load the page when the sale got highly publicized, it was like TF2 when the Soldier/Demo update went live. Its good for GoG to get more clients. Can you explain to me the RSS feed reader thing?
avatar
DrIstvaan: Sure thing.
First, you'll need an RSS feed reader; if you use FireFox, it's built in by default. If not, you can find good ones as freeware (such as KlipFolio, which I used to use myself.).
Once you have one, on the GOG frontpage, next to "Latest info and announcements", click RSS. The, in the drop-down menu choose where to store the feed, and click subscribe.
EDIT: If you decide to use KlipFolio, after opening it, click on "Add->Add an RSS feed" and input http://www.gog.com/en/frontpage/rss into the required field.

Got it.Done.Nice.Thanks.

Red_Avatar: You got a point there :P But then again, The Incredible Machines were published by Sierra as well and have been sold by GOG as well. Unless the rights to TIM were sold to another company after Sierra was soaked up?

Yes, that's what happened, not only to TIM but Red Baron as well.

20 hours, and counting. Sure, we appreciate this close feedback with the team. ;)
Don't dig too much on the topic, otherwise you'll be busy for 2 weeks only reading it. hehe

"The final hour" -> D O O M -> id Software
I refuse to give up on id Software. :P
Oki,
Guys I spoke with Cook, and for some of you, we'll have some small gifts. We didn't plan it, but we really appreciate your efforts with guesing and we would like to reward you for that.
So, some of you guys can feel a bit lucky right now, I mean: cogadh, tacitus59, El_Caz, antifood:)
Please expect anytime soon (whis week) message from Cook.
There could be some more lucky users. Cook will go through this topic more carefully and look for more. The algorythm of choosing winners is a part of the whole mystery;)
Now, What do you think is the final conclusion? :-)))

michaelleung: Chex Quest! Chex Quest! Chex Quest! Chex Quest!

Silly Rabbit. Chex is for kids, not GOGers :P

(my emphasis on the quote) This means, there's also some kind of Casino game coming? I mean, he talked about the whole mystery and not only about the mystery of who gets gifts.

Mikee: Hi All,

Ok, that's another hidden clue obviously. The Final Hour -> 11th Hour? That would really be a good old game. Maybe Wheel of Time?
Combined: "Choosing winners" and "the final hour" -> S.T.A.L.K.E.R. as in "selection of the fittest"? Final Fantasy maybe, if "choosing winners" can be read as "creating a team".
The truth is out there!
Wait, now it is clear:
"Posted 27 minutes ago" - i.e. posted on 9:50 AM US Time - or 8:50 AM in some regions. Then the wording "Final hour" -> a clue about the September 11 attacks?
Guys, it is the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000! Or maybe that X-Files game, since in "The Lone Gunmen" pilot episode a similar attack was faked.
That X-Files game was published by Fox & Activision, now ActivisionBlizzard.
Alphabet -> Alpha + Beta -> A+B -> Activision + Blizzard - these A+B are the two characters that complement each other beautifully. Now everything is clear.
Also: Activision is in Santa Monica
A messenger -> Santa
That makes perfect sense! Only it is in California but not in Ohio... And dudes, it's 32 days since christmas.
Christmas -> Santa -> Messenger that precedes the Soldier
Soldier -> Announcement of that big deal
32 -> 32 bit architecture -> Windows XP (for example)
Ok, and next time I tell you all how I deciphered the 400 centuries of Nostradamus and why the world has ended three times and nobody knew about it.
