Somehow I doubt an announcement, whatever it's size, will attract as many people as a site-wide sale, or see them stay for as long. I doubt that capacity issues arise tomorrow.

DrIstvaan: Here's some non-guessing for a change!
Given the enormous anticipation of this "big announcement", it may be safely said the servers will suffer a massive (over)load. Since I don't suppose the staff has expanded the site's server park for this event, many visitors probably means even more won't be able to load the page (see: Christamas sale).
For this, I encourage every single fellow GOGer to only remain on the site for a few minutes after the announcement, reading it and maybe commenting it briefly. Please, let's keep lenghtier discussions about the announcement for later, when there is smaller interest in the site.
I know I will do so, and I ask everyone to follow my example.
Also, a suggestion to everyone: use an RSS feed reader if you don't do so alrady. Even if you can't log on to GOG due to the amount of people on the site, you'll be able to read the news article announcing whatever will be announced.

I remember that, could not even load the page when the sale got highly publicized, it was like TF2 when the Soldier/Demo update went live. Its good for GoG to get more clients. Can you explain to me the RSS feed reader thing?

Red_Avatar: My idea: each hint is part of a different company or surprise. Most guesses were trying to connect all hints but what if each hint is really for a separate part of the surprise? Troika may well indeed be Troika games but what if Gabriel Knight and other games are part of the revelation as well! They never said there was just one answer. It would fit the "biggest announcement yet" line.
1. While other hints are somewhat more ambiguous, two definitely point squarely at Troika.
2. Gabriel Knight was a Sierra game too. So if Troika is a guarantee then Gabriel Knight is at the very least a strong possibility.

Zeewolf: Arcanum and GK were both published by the same company. You got a point there :P But then again, The Incredible Machines were published by Sierra as well and have been sold by GOG as well. Unless the rights to TIM were sold to another company after Sierra was soaked up?

Al1: Sierra. Really? I mean, yes, they have published alot of good games, many a time I have run a game on my PC and have been greeted by the Sierra intro, but do they warrent all this hype, a countdown timer, and having thier arrival billed as the best thing to happen to GOG since the site went public? No. Particularly in the light of this (supposedly) being a "top three" publisher.
BJWanlund: Well, since Sierra has been been acquired by... wait for it... a "top three" publisher, Activision Blizzard, I think that Sierra would still be plausible if and only if ActiBlizz has agreed to be on GOG. BJ
I agree, but Capfitz thinks it is only Sierra that are coming to the site, which I disagree with on the basis of it not being big enough on it's own to warran all the build up.
*Warrant damn it. Why won't it let me edit posts on the iPhone?

Sure thing.
First, you'll need an RSS feed reader; if you use FireFox, it's built in by default. If not, you can find good ones as freeware (such as KlipFolio, which I used to use myself.).
Once you have one, on the GOG frontpage, next to "Latest info and announcements", click RSS. The, in the drop-down menu choose where to store the feed, and click subscribe.
EDIT: If you decide to use KlipFolio, after opening it, click on "Add->Add an RSS feed" and input http://www.gog.com/en/frontpage/rss into the required field.

Sierra would be a pretty big announcement Their game library is huge, with some of the most classic PC gaming adventure games next to Lucasarts. The entire Quest series alone would be huge, but then you add games also developed by Dynamix, Coktel VIsion, etc and you get quite a few more.
In any case, I don't think it is Sierra, but it would be awesome if it was.
