Vagabond: Check the attached images for all of my Crusader stuff.

vag's e-peen is mighty and unchallenged
which is kind of strange considering the short version of his nickname. interesting dichotomy.

captfitz: vag's e-peen

gonna leave this here
All Troika's games....
Arcanum = published by Sierra;
TOEE = published by Atari;
Vamp: BL = published by Activision (now Act-Blizzard).
So, are Atari, Sierra, and Act-Blizz ALL coming to GOG?

Arteveld: @Vagabond #1001 [quoting impossible]
Awesome stuff! They sold T-Shirts, or are those self made?
Damn, i was born in the wrong country! That's why i wish GOG had boxes and posters. ;)

All of that stuff came from the developers. That "rareposter" image was up in Origin's offices when they were making No Remorse.

So is Act-Blizz and Atari coming here then? :oP
hmmm...the latest clue was "Where history overlaps with the present time" and it's initials spell "whowtpt" which sound like someone is spitting a loogie. That's got to mean something.
They're clearly leaving the clues in such a way that they can be intrepreted as multiple choices. If a big publisher is coming our way, then that means multiple games are coming our way and more than one could be revealed on thursday since chances are likely that we won't get a game tomorrow but continue with this fun torture. So all the clues we get could be for different games.
Every game comes with a publisher and it has to be big to merit this much attention and a countdown. If both clues so far have game candidates that could fit the criteria on more than one publisher we should just focus on who these publishers are. So far I'm still thinking it's Activision Blizzard or EA. Lucasarts doesn't seem to fit with the clues.
Some of you think that Blizz will never sell it's games on GOG if they have their own store and I agree, but you don't see Activision games being sold in that store, only Blizzard's. There's a bunch of old games that activision holds the rights to, do any of those game's fit with the clues? Do those games make more sense than those of EA?
Troika could have been an intentional red herring, put there exclusively to get Capfitz to eat a sock (and I'm hoping for a dirty one, not one fresh from the drawer). In fact, if the next clue ends up being something cryptic like "Elves And Trolls Sundering Over City Kingdoms" I would piss my pants laughing.

Vagabond: Oh, it's in my closet protected and everything. I made images of the disc, so I could preserve them. I have the entire Wing Commander series installed and working in Windows 7. :D
Here's a video of my game collection I made last summer. You can see some of my WC stuff there.

Your collection rivals mine... Though i have no swag.. and Ive been a PC gamer reader since the beginning aswell, even got there PC Accelerator magazine for the little time it was alive... We could be good friends you and I mister Vagabond....
Going to saw Eidos now... or maybe a selection from them

I'm gonna go with ActiBlizzard, as the Kings Quest and Space Quest collections both on Steam and Direct2Drive in July of last year... just a guess of course.
Well I don't think it could be troika, they made solid and ambitious stuff but they were all in need of a fix and 3 slightly dodgy games are just not countdown worthy.
The karmic clue does point very strongly towards ultima since 4 was about the karmic system and 5 and 9 were about bringing the forc... er... virtues back into balance BUT that clue is so damned obvious that I imagine its a herring of a distinctly ruddy colour.
I could pull a random idea out of my arse and say its lucasarts. They're teasing with clues that are too obvious and are clearly having way too much fun doing it, this could mean that what they're really doing is giving us hints as to what ISN'T coming but IS big enough to justify a countdown. Lucasarts are about the only one left after eliminating EA & ActiBlizz
Of course I don't believe its Lucasarts for a minute, I'm sticking with my prediction of Stuff.

Monkey Island 2 had the spitting contest...

You could say the same for Fallout. :)
Anyway I've heard VTM is much better with the community patches, which are still going strong.
Well if we're going down the LucasArts road there's Indiana Jones (Archeology. History overlaps present time.) and Day of the Tentacle (Time machine I think.)
Problem is that the clues are so vague they can fit into almost anything if you try hard enough.
From all that is possible and glorious please to all of heaven and earth and all the living beings of gods domain be EIDOS!
You have no idea the Wrath og glory and love that would befall this institution of they started picking up the Eidos line of games... Everything Tombraider, Deus Ex, Thief, Time Splitters, Legacy of Cain, Hitman, Commandos, well we have them... but still...
Sweet lord of lords... please be Eidos!
I would sell a kidney and pick up a 2nd job to buy every game they dropped fro them... ok i wouldn't sell the kidney but i would defiantly find a way to buy them all ^_^

I believe I HAVE said the same about Fallout.
Bloodlines and its community patches are a bit of a mixed bag for me. For the most part I like them but then they sometimes create as many problems as they solve. One patch broke the stealth, another made enemies too easy, another altered quests so you could almost bypass them and the biggest issue that was there for as long as I was using the patches (up to version 4.x I think) was a section with infinitely respawning guards that made the later stages of the game much harder but also completely ruined the mood for me
If that does come to GOG, I'd say definitely play it with the default version (which would include patch 1.2) before modding. Its the kind of game where you'd want to play it multiple times anyway

Good to know. I will do that if it does, and try the community patches later. They seem to release a few a year anyway...maybe things will be solid before 2010 is out.
How tolerable is the default version?
