JudasIscariot: More people for me to convince to buy The Guild :D!!

Okay, convince me. You have 15 seconds. Tick, tock ...

Wishbone: Lately, I seem to see a lot more new users here. And they seem to keep hanging around. Meaning I see quite a few posts by both 1 rep users and 2-50 rep users. I wish we could know just how many of us there are. At any rate, it seems like GOG is doing well. Yay!

There's an IRC channel?

#gog on irc.quakenet.org :)
50 K isn't so bad. Granted, the games are cheap, so they won't milk much out of them, but I figure they must get them for cheap also, since the games are pretty old.
I can't stress enough how GOG's support and their general behavior towards customers helps to make us all like the website and service. They also seem very community driven, which can only help to recommend them that much more.
What the heck is wegame, and why the heck does it have more traffic than GOG?

Hello,
I am new. I noticed an ad somewhere. I downloaded one of the free games a while ago but I only came back for more when I got my GP2X Wiz. (Rise of the Triad is supported and Duke 3D will be, soon.) I am a mac user so all these Windows based games had little appeal (though I can play them thanks to VMWare Fusion.)
Speaking of being a mac user; has anyone else noticed how mac this website looks? The shelf, the lightbox, the shine effect on the cover images, etc. It makes me wonder why OS X compatible downloads are not offered.
Anyway, you may have also noticed I did not formally introduce myself in the official thread (yet.) PMs are not supported and I just don't like being too revealing online and I don't like weeding through too many death threats in my personal inbox. I will set up an auxiliary email account soon to share with all-o-y'all.
Cheers,
Jim

Workin' on it. ;)
The community isn't growing, you're just shrinking. ^_^

Hasn't there been estimates? I'm sure I saw a thread somewhere about the number of users, or perhaps average number of new users per week.

Glad to be here.
And I am referring to aesthetic qualities rather than function.
I have attached a sample image (I hope.) P.S. This is not my collection, just an image found via Google :)

stonebro: So ... just under 50.000 unique users? Not too bad. I wonder what made Steam soar from 300k to over 400k in less than a year.

Probably signing EA (I'm sure the SecuROM-lessness drove a few sales too).

The community grew a whole lot since the closed beta, it can only bring good things.
