It might interest those who remember this top-down action game, The Chaos Engine appears to be coming to Steam soon, via Bitmap Brothers and Mastertronic. This also may be some kind of HD remake.

That trailer tells me absolutely nothing ... lol

If it's likely to be a good game though GOG might want to get in on this, if they aren't already :)

This is decidedly an HD remake =( which is a huge shame, given that The Bitmap Brothers games has some of the absolute best pixel art in them.

Some more info, it seems the game will be emulated from the Amiga version, and there will be (optional) visual and gameplay tweaks as well as new multiplayer support.

Got in touch with Mastertronic, and they say that there will be a no DRM release, and they'd like for it to be on GOG, if GOG is willing.

HD remakes of pixelated games always gets my approval. Pity the trailer reveals nothing of it though.

Well that was a weird couple of seconds for me.
- The Chaos Engine, that old top down shooter-y Gauntlet-y game from way way back?
- It has a website, so it's probably not that game
- Wait, it's the Bitmap Brothers so it probably IS that game
- Well the trailer tells me nothing
- Ah it's a HD remake
