I think the lines blur a little as well when steams recommendations work somewhat similar to a social networking site rather than just a review on something like amazon. It actually says to recommend it to your friends.

Eitherway the game will be out in 6-7 hours and then the gameplay can speak for itself.
If I'd made a game I'd recommend it to my friends. I think the recommendations were "private" until recently when Steam changed the system. Not sure, cause I wasn't really using it anyway.
I´m a bit surprised that Banner Saga wasn´t released on GOG today...

Kardwill: Well, they're not hiding they're the devs. It's more a "hello from the dev team, we're excited about our game" than a bogus review. More overeager clumsiness than malice.

It would have been VERY different if they published said review without telling who they were, or hired an "independant gametesting website" to make their promotion. But this? Harmless
Exactly. Steam recommendations don't have a rating so it doesn't effect anything. If they were giving 5-star reviews here(even if not hiding who they are) to boost the rating I'd consider that to be in poor taste.

Now, that's a sentiment we can relate to. :-) Apparently DRM-Free is like slow food--sometimes you need to wait a little bit longer for the good stuff.

The Banner Saga is coming to GOG.com, although with a slight delay. We'll do our best to keep you guys informed.
If by any chance some Banner Saga dev reads this thread:

No DRM-free = no buy.

Good thing they've already said the DRM-free is on the way then, not sure why people want to remind the devs again of your requirements :)

They already said it's gonna be on GOG... Hence DRM-free .
