Will Factions share the same program as TBS?... I sure hope not

Probably same . Because they mentioned it to "Multiplayer" side of the game . And they haven't another version than Steam . I have really big question marks in my mind . Really weird things for nearly 1 million $ project .

Skysect: Also after I tried F2P game , it's filled with many bugs , crashes . I will probably pass this game .
Thing is Factions is only the multiplayer combat engine, i *really* hope the devs actually bothered to do the alpha/beta properly (did anyone actually get into the beta etc???)

7 times the original goal so questions really have to be asked....

But Factions is nearly released 1 year ago . And still have too many problems . This makes another question marks :) And it's also 25 $ game . I really really need to test game , watch really long gameplay videos . I need to be careful . But I haven't too much expectations now .
Well i emailed the devs in the politest way i could. I don't expect a reply and really disappointed the way they have done this.

I really want to see their answers if they could :)

Probably some nonsense along the lines of "It's not anything major, Steam only is meant as a sign of appreciation and gratitude for our Factions supporters and people should just chill out."

deadfolk: For a lot of people (okay, talking about myself, but I assume I'm not alone) it's not just impatience. If GOG were just to announce "Game X is coming, but it will be on Y date", I would wait. When they don't announce anything ahead of time, I just buy the game where I know it's available...and then curse the heavens if it later comes to GOG. This has happened a few times to me.
This! I've made the mistake of buying some games on steam mere days before they came to GOG. I could have waited a few weeks (heck, a few month!), but I just didn't know they would be available there
I was really happy when I saw it was coming to gog. Gog are fucking stupid for not ensuring they get it at the same time as steam.

In other news, I just saw an email from gog staff which in my view supports the argument that their support staff are nothi short of amazing.
Drama time . I found some interesting things :)

While understanding they are very small team, looks like the only options they leave for people who want pre-release stuff and DRM-free are:
- pay twice
- pirate it.

Gotta remind them if they'll ever start whining about how their game is being torrented like crazy.
Developers reviewing their own games :) And their reactions are amazing to answers of gamers :) Now I think , I will completely remove it from my wishlist and I won't playing their game .

Yes...
One of the comments :

"It doesn't matter whether you might term it as 'harmless' or not. It is extremely poor form to review your own product on a very public platform that furthermore is a sales platform for that product. Whether done in jest or not it sets a very poor precedent for other developers."

Says it all. If devs are reviewing their own games, what does that say for the product?. Dodgy...
Well, they're not hiding they're the devs. It's more a "hello from the dev team, we're excited about our game" than a bogus review. More overeager clumsiness than malice.

It would have been VERY different if they published said review without telling who they were, or hired an "independant gametesting website" to make their promotion. But this? Harmless

This. People really should chill out, who read reviews anyway?
