Coelocanth: This. It's a business after all, and even though I'm a bit miffed that they don't have it up on GOG as well, they really are wise to go where the money and the captive audience is first if they have to choose between them.

Niggles: thing is they didn't have to. they had 7x kickstarted goal.they extended the delivery timeframe due to this, so they had plenty of time do everything promised at launch and that means treating both existing backers and potential customers equally and fairly. to me they are deliberately treating DRM free customers as second class. Gog, desura gamers gate have potentially lost customers of this game due to being unable to offer pre orders and while yes they have potentially a bigger audience on steam it feels unright and unfair for them to do it this way
I agree with your sentiment, actually. Note that I said if they have to choose between vendors, then I can see why they'd go with Steam. Whether or not they actually had to do so is another issue entirely.

IAmSinistar: You've got a sale here GOG, whenever it arrives. Hopefully the version we get will be the solid one with all the extras.

HypersomniacLive: Highly doubt it for two reasons:
1. Austin Wintory retained the rights to his music and is selling the album on Bandcamp.
2. A Deluxe version elsewhere or at least on Steam means that devs/ pubs price and sell everything separately, so you can be sure GOG will offer the base version in order to keep the price at the lowest possible level.

It's quite rare these days that newer games come with nice and worthy extras.
Well frack me sideways. Ain't it the way of the world these days.
I've got this waiting for me tonight when I get home, can't wait!
Also I made some research it's only first chapter of the game for 25$ and there will be second and third . If they selling them with same price , full game will be 75$ for 7x funded game . What an awesome developer :)

I'm really far more interested in whether the game stands up as a $25 game on it's own, which so far it certainly has the potential.

I had a rather lengthy correspondence with them during their Kickstarter and they sounded like quite big Steam fans and indifferent to DRM-free; I was left with the impression that they had no plan to also release DRM-free from the beginning and only considered it after people asked for it.

Recommending, not reviewing.

Love how people are falling over themselves trying to defame these people when they're not even clear on what's what.

Dev's 'recommending' their own games comes across as a tad biased don't you think?

People recommending their own stuff is kind of biased? No doubt. I still don't see anything wrong with recommending something they themselves created/helped create though. What's the problem there? 2 or 3 recommendations on Steam aren't going to change anything. It's nothing like having fake/paid reviews written for metacritic to absorb. If I spent years working on something I'm proud of it's very likely I'll recommend it to my friends.

Edit: looked through the recommends again and yeah, I agree Erik could've been clearer about who he was. The other guy clearly mentioned he programmed on the game himself (at which point a recommendation is perfectly fine in my opinion)

Back to the game for me :)

I'm a patient man and since it seems it will come to GoG eventually I'll just buy it then. I won't make the same mistake as I did with Aarklash Legacy and Shadowrun Returns (bought both on Steam).
I'm just curious about what will happen to the pre-order character and item. Maybe there will be a pre-order here as well, which is unusual but I believe happened with Dragon Commander.
Was excited to see this now available when I looked on steam, but glad I waited to check here on GOG since it's my preferred non-platform. Will have to pick it up once it's available here and a few days/weeks don't make much of a difference in my opinion, just lets me work on my backlog some more!
:/ I was really looking forward to this release today. Oh well. Glad to hear it is still coming.
Got my copy preloaded yesterday, can't wait to play it later. Pretty good impression all round. Same day with Broken Age, today's gonna be nuts.
