It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

when I turn the GOG.com Downloader mode on then when I click Game installer under Game downloads. I get the message "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (gogdownloader) isn't associated with any program.". what should I do? Is anybody else having this problem? Thanks!

Never had this issue. Have you tried with a different browser? Maybe Opera or Chrome?

Are you positive you downloaded and installed the GOG downloader first?

Well the download worked with Opera. But I'm still trying to figure out how to play the game though.

What's the issue? You just double-click the installer, write where you want to install the game, then wait until the instal is finished.
Never mind I think I finally have it figured out :) I think it was the graphics mode which was preventing the game from running. Playing around with the graphics mode finally got it running! :)

Go here in the menus...

Tools -> Options
Click the "Applications" tab
Find "gogdownloader" under the "Content Type" column
In the "Action" column, make sure the dropdown says "Use GOG.com Downloader".
If it already says that, and it's not working, choose "Use other..." from the list
Now locate where the downloader was unzipped on your harddrive with the "Browse..." button

This might happen when you download a different GOG downloader and either remove/erase the old one or maybe move the folders around.

Glad it all worked out for you :) Since we're done with that... Have you ever played Sacrifice? It's one of the greatest games ever made, but one of the least-known as well, and it only costs 5.99$ here on GOG. Make that your next purchase, trust me, you won't regret it.

Good choice :) Still, remember to buy Sacrifice sometime soon. The fact that such a masterpiece has gone unrecognized for so long is a shame to the entire gaming community...

Hello, I'm having the exact same problem. However gogdonwloader is not in the list.
When I try with Chrome and click on the downloader link nothing happens.

I have tried reinstalling AIR and the GOG-downloader, but with no luck.

Current version of the GOG Downloader doesn't use Adobe AIR, so reinstalling it makes no difference. There also seems to be a problem with Chrome and Windows 8, the developers of the downloader are aware of it. If you are not on Win 8, take a look here.
