This is a counterpart to my "No more fullscreen" giveaway from a few months ago. Not solely because someone (likely, hopefully) jokingly complained, and I think I promised to offer a low-res one some day, but also because as of today and for about three weeks, I am stuck with a machine I can barely use due to the small screen and low resolution (funny, I still think my old Mac works great with 640x480, yet I feel cramped with three times that on a modern OS).

The prize is a collection of games from an Interplay Promo in December (I think), 18 of them to be exact. If you already own some of them you can redeem the rest and send what's left to a friend.

The requirement for entry is similar to the other one: either a modern screenshot at 1024x768 or smaller (1280x720 is disqualified for being too wide despite having a shorter height), that is, no old ones of Win95, 98 or Mac OS 8 or 9 (those don't qualify for "modern"), nor one taken at 1920x1080 and resized to 720x480 to fit within the limits (pixel perfection, guys, I can identify a blurred menu bar or taskbar when I see it). Or a photo of your old CRT screen in use with a recent game or application.

Time limit... until the coming weekend. I cannot be sure when exactly I will get online during the days and evenings as the family will arrive in the next few days and I will be required to socialise, but I'll cut it off sometime on Saturday the 13th or Sunday the 14th of July.

The winner will be decided through random.org.

Not in but +1. Didn't actually read the OP, but I know you want stuff that's too much for my laziness...

1: Take low-res screenshot.
2: Don't cheat by taking a high-res shot and scaling it down.
3: Post low-res screenshot.

Pretty much. So, that's a three-step guide, minus one step because that tells you what you shouldn't do..
Screenshot of anything or an old/new game?

Anything showing that you use said resolution (even temporarily, not like can actually check that it's commonly in use) on a modern system. So, yeah, anything since, roughly 2005, desktop, application(s), game(s). (Note, I am really too lazy to actually look up when various games were released, so that limit is quite fuzzy.)

I'm in, and here is a screenshot of Left 4 Dead 2 running with everything on low settings... at 640x480. (The screenshot will be a little bit more pixelated than normal thanks to Steam's screenshot system)

Thanks for the giveaway!

You mean, something like this might be good?

Anyway, not in. Might change my mind later, but I have still too little time and too much to do to take my chance to win 18 games :)

Thanks for the giveaway!

edit: oh, well, this does not prove I'm on Windows 7. I'll think something else :)

Well, here you go:
This is Anachronox, 640x480, but with 32xS-Antialiasing!

Edit:
Some folks mentioned a prize!
What is the prize, BTW?

As mentioned in the OP, 18 games from an Interplay partial-pay-what-you-want promo in three tiers (first tier PWYW, second and first tier above a certain value, and all three if you paid above another value). Those 18 are more than half the games from the promo, yet the price I paid was a lot less than the games I didn't already have would otherwise cost.

So, I effectively got a dozen or so games at a very good price, then a code for another 18 for free (that I already had) because I bought those dozen.

Here: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/special_promo_pay_what_you_want_for_interplay_games The promo page is long gone, but the news post is still there. I already had 18 of the games, so those are what's offered.

I enjoy this kind of thread, this is my screenshot. It's Mafia 2 when I played it on my laptop last year. I set the resolution to 1024*768 to have an maximum FPS. At the beginning I was bored because I couldn't play it full screen. But after many hours I changed my mind : those black zone make the atmosphere stronger ! I can't continued on my desktop, I finished the game in the laptop and it was so good :-)

Mafia 2 (1024*768)

Thanks for the chance Maighstir ! :-)

hit F12 if you're using Steam overlay..

Steam games are very easy : press F12 by default to have a screenshot. Stop the game, Steam will ask you to upload it on the cloud. After that just check the link page :-)
For GOG games, you can use a software like FRAPS. Or maybe "PrintScreen" of your keyboard and paste it in Paint.
