I love the section when it switches from 6/8 to 3/4. For those of you who have no idea what that means, I mean the twinkly bit.
He-Man C64
Zorro C64
The first has better music but the second has much better (close to perfect!) gameplay
I think I prefer C64 version. However...

C64 version? It's not the same piece of music...
Possibly one of the best boss tunes from a not very well known jrpg on the SNES.

Not at all! I meant C64 version of the game with its music which is, as you can here it, completely different ;)

Whoops, I completely misread and misunderstood something. Pretend I never said anything! ;)

No problem, but I think I'm at least partially guilty because it could mean I was talking about different version of the music, and not game (as I really meant)

And how could I forget Commando?!

No, I misread quite a lot more than that. :D

And to stop derailing the thread, one of the flight themes from Secret of Mana: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEilQOiuE_g

I think it's in 10/8. O.O
For NES games i'd like to give Sunsoft some credit most of their games had nice soundtracks.

I notice it clearly that for Americans the subject means NES and SNES game music, while for most Europeans it means Commodore 64 and Amiga game music. Maybe they are close enough.

I tried to find in Youtube the music for such obscure Amiga games as "Phantasm: Hall of Light" and "Chamonix Challenge" aka "Final Assault", but unfortunately came empty. Ok I found this, but some stupid ass just keeps talking and talking and talking over the music. Yes we know the music is great, no need for you to keep saying it. And he seems to cut the music before it comes to the magnificent crescendo at the end.

So instead, I guess I will just mention Hybris again.

Hmm, odd. I tend to think of console generations more than home computer generations (so NES and SNES, but also Master System and Mega Drive). Also I'm European, but I guess my thinking might be more console orientated because I'm younger.

Maybe UK was already back then quite different from mainland Europe? I recall being said that in UK PC gaming is almost non-existent compared to many other European countries where PC gaming is stronger.

UK had e.g. Sinclair Spectrum though, but it didn't do much of music.
