Okay, really GOG, now you're hinting at next week's classic release through your YouTube videos??

"Grow your spheres of influence through guile, trading or just plain exploiting those who don't know any better..." (emphasis mine)

Any guesses, guys? I can say my guess here which is absolutely impossible: the original Sid Meier's Civilization. But since I have hardly any idea about these sorts of games, I don't know what they're pulling.
Aren't they planning to release some Interplay titles next week?

It must be some kind of sim. Maybe a Cold War simulator? Or possibly the X series?
Sounds like The Sims to me.
That definitely sounds like he's talking about some 4X game...
Ugh, I hate games like that. Ah well, more time for my backlog.
System Shock 2 confirmed! ...somehow.

The only game I can think of that fits with this is Civ, but that seems unlikely.

It says "spheres of influence". There are many games(mostly cold war themed strategy games) where that's an actual gameplay element.

Yeah, I'm just not all that knowledgeable about them. :3

You mean like XCOM: UFO Defense? That might be an intriguing idea...

Oh God, of course. C&C: Red Alert, anyone?

Not XCOM :) The X series:

Doesn't Paradox use a "sphere of influence" in some of their games?

Maybe Europa Universalis or Hearts of Iron or Victoria?

I've honestly not played any of them myself, so maybe someone can suggest if I'm off base...

Or maybe now that GOG has Perimeter back, they're going to add the sequel... That would fit, right?
