I heard Chris Svensson from Capcom was going to talk with you guys next week. Good luck getting Mega Man/Resident Evil!
This is less 'thanks' and more 'please' isn't it?
I'm not too interested in the capcom stuff on the wikipedia list of their pc games but I'd more than likely get Resident Evil 1 & 2 (the rest were kinda crap but I MIGHT be tempted by 3 & 4 if the price is good and there's enough extras) and perhaps Dino Crisis if I'm in the mood to run away from lizards instead of zombies.
I DO know one guy who'd very probably buy a bucketload of capcom's catalogue though

I love me some Svensson too, the amount of shit he puts up with is astounding.
On a related note, I'd mostly like to see Mega Man Legends 1 and 2 on GOG, those were fantastic games.

Aliasalpha: I'm not too interested in the capcom stuff on the wikipedia list of their pc games

Something cool (that sadly won't happen) would be cross-platform packs, with emulators. You know, a Ghosts'n'Goblins pack which included the game for the Arcade, C64, Amiga, DOS, ZX Spectrum, etc., and with emulators for each.
Seems to be enough games there I'd like to get my hands on as well, if only cause I've had relations ( no, not the improper ones..or are they? ) with some of the games from the NES era, and I can see some are listed as being on the pc as well
To be honest, I hold out very little hope of anything Capcom getting here without regional restrictions. Seeing as Capcom really really hate the idea of digital distribution for Japan/South East Asia.

I think if that kind of thing ever did happen, there should be a separate site for it...get a few console games, you'll need to go after a million..

That's a good point, but Svennson has convinced them of some stuff already, so I can it being plausible here, especially with older games.

The Capcom games that use static backgrounds are nigh unplayable on PC. So hard to look at.
Megaman X was the bomb. Brings back some fond memories - it was the game that re-defined platformers.

So you'd want to play the same game on several different platforms? I think the arcade games are the most realistic to wish for, most of them were single board units and original properties so with luck there shouldn't be TOO many people to quarrel over rights, mostly just for licenced things like the star wars arcade game. I'm sure the mame people would be as happy as the dosbox & scummvm lot to have their stuff used and a good custom frontend that tracked your purchases and looked similar to the gog shelf would be a nice addition
I'm not too fond of Capcom's list of computer games...
I consider them console developers, and RE on PC is fail imo...
So no, I'm not psyched about this at all...
i read from reviews on amazon that the resident evil and devil may cry games are unplayable with out a game pad on pc?
