If you are "kissing ass", GoG deserves it. Classics like Ultima VII should never be allowed to die or be locked away in virtual vaults. Also, compare the prices of buying here to the prices of buying on EBay and possibly not even having a way to run the software if it is on an obsolete medium.
Also, they give indie developers a chance to get into the industry.
