Since there's nothing coming up this year I'm interested in, I can finally play the games I bought here on gog from beginning to end.

What's with the rush to buy stuff? Finish the games you already have. :p

StingingVelvet: I am not going to air my personal shit on the internet, but let's just say something has happened that makes me alone and broke for the foreseeable future.

It is at times like these I thank God that video game releases are dry as a bone in the summertime. There is literally nothing I really want until Deus Ex: Human Revolution on August 23rd, which is two full months away. Yahoo!

In the meantime I think I will play through Fable 3 and Dungeon Siege 3 and then maybe go back in time and finally play through the entire Baldur's Gate saga from beginning to end again. Been wanting to do that for years.

How are you spending the summer dry months?
Fable 3 and Dungeon Siege 3...
Those games are on my "DO NOT GET STRANDED FOR THE SUMMER WITH THESE GAMES!!" list, but I hope you enjoy them.
Personally, summer is my vacation from big games and a season of experimenting. For the first time I tried Modern Warfare and, what a surprise, I hate it.
I've been meaning to try the XCOM or the UFO series that use to have a lot of buzz.
Oh and I still need to play The Witcher 2
What do I do with my summer? Not much. Play. This forum has been propably most social thing I have been in a week. This forum takes a lot of playing time as well. Maybe next week is a bit different. We will see. Money is always tight. Still I'll buy couple games when they are still in "stayvacation"
Anyway.. When I'm done with witcher 1 and I seem to be close till the end. I'll propaply play those two fallouts. Never have really played those, just tried. Not sure if I want to continue to witcher 2 straight on.
Also I still have enclave and that two worlds in my account which I haven't downloaded.
And as always.. These months will go quickly in good and a bad sense.
But I don't have to really worry that I have nothing to play.
Life in general? Nah.. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
Well, Torchlight 2 is supposed to be slated for late July.

Also, there's a new expansion coming for Hearts of Iron III.

But other than that, GoG.com is probably the best place to be for interesting game releases this summer.

StingingVelvet: I want to re-buy Descent because of the Descent homage level in Red Faction Armageddon. Not sure I can buy anything for a while though, we'll have to see.
I never played Red Faction...although it was originally going to be Descent 4 and then they decided against it.

From what I've heard though, Red Faction has completely different gameplay...I've never played it myself. :)
I'm definitely with StiningVelvet: There's really nothing being released until Human Revolution that has my blood up.

Right now, I'm finishing up The Witcher 1. I'd follow that up directly with TW2, but I won't be able to play that until my PC build this Fall or Winter. I think that I may finally take a chunk out of the The Temple of Elemental Evil (a tough game, I must say), in the mean time.

That's on the PC front. On my 360 I'll probably take some older games and grab some straggling achievements. I may pick up some older 360 games that I missed though. Two Worlds and Two Worlds II, I've been meaning to check out ditto for Metro 2033, Singularity, and Just Cause 2, amongst others.

Although, I'll probably take it easy on the VG front entirely and catch up on some reading

Play games? What? I just buy them.
Studying Japanese (currently between 4-8h per day), but will also start writing my dissertation next month. It's in for September and I haven't started yet. Besides that, going out a lot and I'll try to squeeze as much Civ III Conquests into the gaps as possible.
Probably lots of running (I love to run in the warm weather) mixed with some reading and probably lots of Fallout 1 & 2 since I just bought the GOG copies. I'll probably also print and read that bible thing they package in.

Hah. Seriously, though, I've seen quite a few people buying games... and buying some more. Without ever even installing what the bought the previous time.

Really don't get the urge to spend your money, no matter the deal. :)

I'm exaggerating, though I do buy games faster than I can finish them. It's like a collector's mindset or something.
