Tex Murphy: The Pandora Directive - Day 7 LIVE STREAM:
http://www.twitch.tv/sbenrap
Come see why I consider this the BEST Adventure game EVER!
This project look awesome, I never even heard of this series until i becoame a GOG member. I would love to get that awesome llama lighter.
I went with the $160 all-digital tier. I don't really care about shotglasses or lighters and customs charges would probably be brutal. I might buy a physical copy of the game once it's released (if they do a general physical release). Between this and SpaceVenture, I've given away all my food money to video game developers. "Tightening my belt one loop so that I don't feel hunger pains..."
Aah what the fuck, it's only another tenner (about 1/1/2 pints). Upped to $160 as well.

Any idea as for who's behind the kidnapping? I'm convinced it's Clint.
Also, any idea for when we'll be getting our rewards? I want that T-shirt and shot glass!
We get to vote who's behind it.

I never played them before this Kickstarter, though Under a Killing Moon came out just when I moved from the Amiga to the PC, and I remembered it, and even thought I played it, but since I can't find it I probably didn't.

Christmas! (Dec 2012, that "Estimated Delivery" under each tier is when they'll be shipping the goodies)

Thanks! Situated exactly where you'd skim over it. I blame advertising.
Anyway, it appears to be October for the T-shirts!

ne_zavarj: I know , but it would be nice to see them as a GOG extra .
From my experience GOG extras are more things like soundtracks, art etc. to do with the game itself.

But the 3 Cards to Midnight etc. are individual games with e.g. 8 hours gameplay, multiple endings etc, If they were put on GOG they'd likely be offered as separate games. But as they are more for the casual market (which GOG isn't geared for) I think they will remain on sites like BigFishGames etc. that have a big following in that market who'll purhcase at that price point.

If anyone is still new to the series or if you know someone who hasn't heard of Tex Murphy before here's a page which gives some background and also collects together links to some of the key updates from the Kickstarter (e.g. Aaron talking about the gameplay and story, reward breakdowns, Chris on stretch goals, actor testimonials etc.).

Come ON. 65 hours to go. This needs to break $600k at LEAST.

Where's the goodwill for Tex when the SpaceVenture dorks can get over $100k in three days?

It pains me to say this, but the Tex Murphy fanbase apparently isn't as big as we all would like it to be.

It's saddening if this doesn't explode now in the last 48 hours and reach all current stretch goals and then some. This game deserves to be as good as it can get.

Although they did lay out their kickstarter well to plan for a spike right when getting to the funding amount, with the $4k "big backer" contributions for every $6k backed. That spiked it up by $70,000 in about a day.

Hope they have one more incentive up their sleeves for people to jump on now towards the end.
Hah. The latest update reveals just such an incentive. Good job, boys! I think we're sure to make all three announced stretch goals now at least, and we'll see what happens after that.

The specifics are;

- Another set of $4000 "magnificent" backers, first then at $546,000, which will probably be reached very shortly.

- Everybody who either A) ups their current pledge my at least $15 or B) is already at the $75 level or above will be entered into a raffle to win Tex memorabilia prices, including the original Fedora from the previous FMV games.

I'm probably going to up my pledge to $500 now. I wanted to pledge $750 for the autographed Fedora, but we'll see.
