Wow, it's up to $415k in no time at all. Awesome.

HypersomniacLive: I also thought the 4600 backers to free Tex would be a piece of cake, but still not there yet.

sai: Actually it was 4500 not 4600 and it got there a day earlier than the deadline :) Check the latest update! :D
You're right, for some odd reason I read that as 4600 and it got stuck in my head.

And check the latest updates. Funds are flying thanks to a devilish plan.
wtf 422k... plus 16k still from the magnificent 7. it REALLY looks like tex is going to make it.
I really want that $750 pledge with the autographed Fedora. Gonna ask if they can supply more info on what quality of Fedora we're talking.

Neilk40: When they open a paypal option after the KS campaign has finished will the rewards still be available?
At the rate this is going they might be able to open a PayPal before the campaign ends which was what I was hoping for!! They just have to reach the goal to open up PayPal.

They said "The clown who kidnapped Tex wants to donate but can only do it by PayPal" in the Magnificent 7 update haha.

Yep, the plan is to reach the funding goal by June 11 so they can open PayPal.
Wow, they've gained more today that they did on the second day!

EDIT: In fact they've nearly doubled it!

so what i dont understand is they gonna make the new tex murphy game as a side job next to their regular one within a few months expecting it to be a "full" tex murphy game just like the previous ones?

This.

Btw, don't think there was an update about this so I missed it completely, maybe some of You did too. There's voting going on for the shot and [url=http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GZGXWDD]lighters.
and they got it, a new tex murphy will come.

No Chris Jones works for true golf but Big Finish Games is in the same office and allot of the personal from True Golf is the same that worked for Access software on the original tex murphy games.
So i'm sure when they got the money they are going to work full time on the Tex Murphy game.

Also the game is fully funded NOW :)

Aaron Conners: Let’s see…ten years in fifty words or less. [smile] Well, there was the whole “getting bought by Microsoft” thing. We worked with Mark Hamill on an ultimately unreleased game called “Black Pearl”, then another unreleased game, “Guardian”, which was tied into Steven Spielberg’s A.I. movie. Chris then left to run TruGolf, an offshoot of Access Software, making golf simulations, and I went to work for MS’s User Experience Group. In 2004, I joined Take Two as the Story Director for Amped 3. In 2006, I became a Creative Director at Ubisoft Montreal for the Shaun White Snowboarding game. Last year, I started my own consulting/design/writing business, WordPlay LLC, and my clients have included Ubisoft and Electronic Arts. Chris and I recently started the Big Finish production company to do our own new games.

So he has his own company as long as his contracts with EA/Ubisoft are done he has full time for Tex Murphy.
