Will they play the first 5 Tex Murphy games with the delight and interest that they deserve? If so, I suggest teaching them to program and selling them to Chris and Aaron to help make the new game!

DMonath: Today's about to cut off at $11,600 (approximately), with 3,855 backers. The Saturday of Memorial Day weekend was the weakest by far, but we're gaining a lot of traction, especially with the GOG promo. Major props to the site team!

We need to maintain an average of $8,874/day through to the finish to achieve funding, so hopefully we can actually shoot for more 9-10K "doldrums" with a few serious spikes in there.

I'd love to count on that, but unfortunately, that's not an accurate prediction: it's taking the average daily pledges to date and multiplying it by the remaining days . . . but that includes 128K on day one, 30K on day 2, etc. The "trending toward" is deceptive. =(

However, if we can continue gaining visibility and keep the passion alive, we <i>will</i> make it!

Even Kicktraq itself acknowledges that the 'trend' is complete bollocks. It just takes the amount it currently has and divides it by the number of days it's been running to get a daily average and then says how much you'd have by the end if you continued to get that.

I've never heard of Kicktraq before. Nifty. A phone app would be niftier.

I have a bunch of copies of the Tex Murphy games to gift away to potential Tex Murphy fans, current Tex Murphy fans, potential backers, current backers, and perpetual Kickstarter page refreshers!

Staring at the Tex Murphy Kickstarter page all day and constantly hitting F5 could pay off, in the form of a free Tex Murphy game on GOG! I will be sending out one Tex Murphy game gift to one lucky person every time the campaign hits a $10,000 increment, until I run out of games to gift! So I’ll be gifting a game when the campaign hits $340k, $350k, $360k, etc.

When the total hits each milestone, all you have to do is take a screenshot of your whole screen (showing the Kickstarter page as well as your taskbar date and time) and send the image to FreeTexGamesGOG@gmail.com. If I get multiple entries, the winner will be determined by whoever e-mails me the image first, and how close it is to the milestone.

If you win, please also let me know what game you would like. I currently have the following number of copies to give away (but I’m willing to buy more if we go over our $450,000 goal):

Tex Murphy: Overseer: 3

The latest update brings back the actor Bill Bradshaw who played the conspiracy enthusiast from Pandora Directive to voice support for the project (in character), even if you havent played that game check it out for a fun character and a great actor!
