A wise decision EA. Truly.

Fuzzyfireball: They should have made it an FPS.
Already done: Blockout

StingingVelvet: To be even more fair, since capitalism began they have figured "hey, most people are pretty stupid."
The saddest thing is that most of the time they are right and it not getting any better.

No DX 11? Pff, I rather play Battlefield ....
Sure, I always wanted to pay a monthly fee for Tetris.
Um not

Aw, Blockout was excellent. I used to play it on my dad's ancient 286.

it better be tetris with a live video chat with playboy playmates begging for the long, straight block to fall....

I didn't get Tetris with mine, instead I got Q-bert. I never got any other game for the machine either.
Heh, these are the reasons why I joyfully shit every day on the mobile gaming crap. The industry is fucking itself up, with its own hands and can't even understand what is losing in its effort to monetize every fucking bit downloaded on the iToys....

10 years by now, there will be no "2011 tetris" game to monetize on because cloned and dumb iMorons will have no reason and no proper gaming memory to honor over...

But really it's a screenshot I grabbed this morning of the IAPs sorted by popularity.

Fever_Discordia: Do they not even have big, International Tetris championships and Grand Prix where the best players can win their money back with healthy interest?
It would be worth it then - for them freaky Tetris robot types anyway!

avatar
orcishgamer: The sub part is probably so you can use social features to "beat your friends", you'd be surprised how much the casual crowd gets cracked out on that kind of thing.
avatar
Fever_Discordia: *shrugs* I wouldn't be too disparaging - I think that kind of thing taps into the same desire kids had back in the arcades to get their names on the high score tables, back where gaming began!
I wasn't trying to be disparaging. I've just seen gamers some might have called casuals get into that kind of thing so was explaining:)
