korell: I'm looking for some modern takes on a couple of good old classic games(Tetris and Breakout mostly). Mainly that they be for modern hardware (bells and whistles ahoy) but without changing the gameplay much. Preferably free and DRM-free. Any recommendations?
I've only seen one game that does something different with Tetris, and that was Tetris on the DS system. Aside from the typical game, they included a number of puzzles based on pre-existing blocks, creating shapes, hitting two-three-four rows at a time in order to progress, and a take on the old Yoshi's Cookie.
Anything else, I'd suggest looking through facebook or Popcap games.
