As a friend of mine linked me to the game, I wonder if any of you heard of Terraria before and how many people would consider a purchase (for what price)?
I have heard about it, it's pretty well known in the indie scene.
It sounds a bit Clonk-y so I'm intrigued, but I rarely buy anything without trying it first.
Saw a video of it recently, looks very interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing how it does.
I'm definitely interested. The RPG-ish elements look interesting and it looks to have a lot more content than Minecraft (items, enemies and such).

agreed. However, something about the graphics really bothers me, and the building part seems to lack something compared to minecraft, probably because you can´t really experience what you build in the same way, it being 2d and all. To compensate, there should be more flavor items to decorate places, I think. I´ll be keeping an eye on it though, I like the concept.

Very interested, but will see if I can get some friends interested in it as well as it seems like it will be much more fun coop. I'd guess if its gonna be as big as I'm guessing based on the video, they will probably ask 20 euros for it?

I'd guess the graphics are gonna bother a lot more people than just LordCinnamon though.
To answer your price question.. I'd probably see if I could get it on sale if its 20 euros. But it's hard to say without actually trying.

It's just been announced that it's launching on Steam. ._.

I hope it's not Steam exclusive, because then I won't be touching it.

Gah. That means I'm going to have to find somebody with an 'US Dollar' payment access to gift me the game or waste money *sighs*
A little update.
The game is supposedly being released on Monday the 16th using Steam as the (currently) only platform. The initial (discounted) price is going to be 9.99 USD with one of the developers trying to set a fair conversion rate (at least that's what he announced).
As I'm going to grab it, I'll gladly join anybody hosting a little GoG world (if you announce it here ;)).
I dunno. Controls looked a bit awkward. And... 2D games are fine, but surely this concept works a lot better in 3D?

I am glad we are seeing stuff like this, though. Minecraft seems to have unlocked the next branch in the gaming tech tree, and I can't wait to see what devs are going to do with the ideas and concepts from it.
Hopefully it'll make an appearance somewhere other than Steam eventually. Not gonna spend $10 on a rental.
No creepers, no sale.
Should you feel like you can not afford the game and want a chance to win it, then here it is ;)

Thought I'd share the possibility, given the amount of contests on this forum.
Thanks, man. Gave it a go.
There's a good forty pages of entries but seeing as they're handing out 5 copies it does pick up the odds a bit more.
