I'm sad TF2 has gone FTP. I doubt I will play it much anymore...

TF 2 going F2P has it's advantages........
You can make newbies give you all their hats and usual trickery,because that's what the TF 2 community is best at,trickery.

There's a joke making it's rounds that 360 TF2 is now the superior version.

Mann Co store was the final nail in TF2's coffin for me, it didn't piss me off that much to start with but then it seemed doing just about anything would give you a hat. Hats were best when they were so rare you'd be lucky to find one guy on a server with a hat. And when you did that guy was instantly a king to all other players. That's why Hats were cool. But the constant whining of the community meant more and more people have hats and now they're worthless.

That sort of thing just sounds sad to me... it's a hat ...

I'm not playing until they fix some of the achievements. I have a dozen frozen achievements, and can't progress in them further. Grrrrrrrr.

(yes, I was using the achievements as personal goals, it was making the game more fun)

yeah but they were rare and they stood out, it was like a trophy. Consider everybody's characters looked exactly the same then one lucky spy would walk past wearing a fedora.

People played the game and had fun and when they saw people with hats they'd be envious due to the low drop, now nobody gives a shit because everyone has one. and the uniformity of the characters has gone right out of the window with all of the hats and badges and exclusive weapons.

yeah it's sad, but so is painting faces and going to football matches.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I'm still having a lot of fun on Team Fortress 2. The whiny community has never pissed me off because I only frequent about 4 servers which all have cool regular players and good moderation and so I don't encounter any of the idiots who inhabit the Steam forums often.

Yay, i've remembered my steam password.;) It's been more than a year since i've last used that thing.
Anyhow, downloading the game now.

I played for a bit last night. Apparently my usual hangouts are being invaded by trolls and newbies that don't know anything about the game. I was backtabbed and a friendly pyro was behind me, and he didn't do ANYTHING TO THE SPY.

And then there's the Counter-Strike trolls. While I do enjoy kicking their asses, I hate being stuck with them as teammates. They keep expecting their usual CS tricks to work here, and they don't, and they get killed more often than I do.

One thingy, I have TF2 for a very long time, but I almost didnt play it, because of one problem. The problem is I dont have almost no one to play with and I am not absolutely comfortable to play just random games, would anyone be willing to play with me in skype/ventrillo/team speak sessions?

Its fun to play but it plays completely different to all 3 of those games. The only class that CS ability might come handy on is the sniper, all the other classes are all way too different.
