michaelleung: Crap, not even done with the third one. Oh well.
That said, what Telltale did is pretty friggin awesome. Do we know if there's going to be a second season or not?
the rumor is no.

They've done a lot of panels talking about "What should they do next After Monkey Island?" with games journalists and etc..
I'm not saying it isn't possible, but I think it's more likely that they'll move on to something else.
Wasn't really a fan of this one after trying the first episode -- also not a fan of episodic content in general as you can get delays like the few that have accompanied this one. Might gift a copy to a friend if it gets a good reduction during the Steam Christmas sale.

but if you buy all episodes now then you don't have episodic content then do you.

Prator: I'm hoping that once the final episode is out, I'll be able to buy the whole season at a discount.

$35 is already pretty cheap considering the length and variety of the whole thing. I paid $50 for the original Monkey Island way back in the day and that was what, 4 hours long?
Anyway I haven't even completed Chapter 3 yet, too many other games to play. Been avoiding spoilers pretty well so far. I hope they don't break up Guybrush and Elaine, I always found the husband and wife angle to be nice.
I'm halfway through the last episode and it is amazing. I'll stay away from spoiler territory, so I'll just phrase it like this; the position you're put in makes for some very unique and fun puzzles.
Aaaand I just finished it. A great conclusion to a great game! But stay for the credits, because there is something at the end that makes you stomp your foot and scream "GOD DAMNNIT, I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN!"
Also, the game gave me a link:

Hmm?

My gaming budget is very small. That's one reason why I tend to frequent sites like GOG and Moddb. Places like these provide a steady supply of cheap/free entertainment, and I recently cleaned out my wallet doing Christmas shopping for my family. For $35 (assuming I had that), I could buy 3-5 other games on GOG for many more hours of play.

TheCheese33: A great conclusion to a great game!

I thought the final scene was anti-climactic, to say the least. It was almost like the KotOR2 ending (well not quite, but still), and felt like it was tacked on as an afterthought.

TheCheese33: But stay for the credits...

Well, it's not like you have a choice. Seriously, if you make unskippable credits, you had better make them entertaining as hell. Otherwise, you're just dicking with your audience.

I will say that SPOILER Giving his hand back made me lose some of the goodwill I had towards them. Here I was thinking "Damn, they flat-out chopped this guy's hand off. Doesn't that mean the rest of his games, made by Tell Tale-developed or not, will have to acknowledge he no longer has one of his hands?" I thought that was a gutsy move, and that it paid off for them. But just to give his normal hand back at the end? MAAAAAAAAAAAN.
END SPOILER
All in all, though, a great adventure title, and I'm glad I plunked down the cash to get it.

Oh, me too. It has flaws, some of them stupid (I really hate the "combine items" function), but what game doesn't? All in all, I still think it's a great game.
