or could it be KOTOR?
KOTOR implies, again, LucasArts. They'd be making a much bigger deal if they were starting to get their games.
im inclined to agree, Lucas Arts would be massive, were talking youtube video massive... and live chat massive... plus it would have been picked up by some gaming news site...

speaking of im sure the game will be leaked to shacknews or blues or someone by tomorrow..

spindown: I know, but the Secret of Monkey Island SE is actually sold in the Telltale Games store:

http://www.telltalegames.com/store/secretofmonkeyisland

So it's definitely possible for other distributors to get this game.

bazilisek: Oh, that's interesting. I did not know that.

Pheace: Isn't that just a compatibility thing? Like Dosbox or whatever? (broaaaddd comparison)

What would you want from ScummVM in particular? (I'm not too familiar with it)
avatar
bazilisek: In broad strokes, that's pretty much it. And like Dosbox, it also has awesome cross-compatibility. I think the old point and click adventure games would be great on phones etc.
The Telltale game isn't the original game. it's a brand new one split into 5 pieces.

[Edit - Telltale game is also on the Wii weirdly enough]

Anyone considered that it might be Star Wars: Dark Forces? I'm sure that's an often-requested game (number 35 on the list).

I would LOVE it to be System Shock 2. It would basically make my entire week. I know a lot of people will be happy if it's Secret of Monkey Island or Syndicate, but I can't say that either of those is going to be an instant purchase for me. Not like System Shock 2.

Steam already has all the Star Wars shooters you need.

Doesn't mean it WOULDN'T be Dark Forces, though. The Id catalog is one of the more often requested series on here, and it's entirely available through steam.
A bit off-topic, but it is possible to get Monkey Island Special Edition working in ScummVM (albeit a specially patched version). It combines the classic graphics with the new music and voiceovers - http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=9161

EDIT: In fact, that's out of date information - it works with the official release now.

Syndicate would be cool I guess. I already own it, and I hate it anyway, but It would be a good addition to the GOG catalog.
Isn't Syndicate, like, goth Cannon Fodder?

I guess only in the sense that Cyberpunk is sort of gothic in spirit?

Sort of dim lit, smelly and unhealthy like the inside of McDonald's paper bag.

Gothic visual design rocks, basically :3
System Shock 1+2 on a $5.99 bundle would be the first time I'd buy something for full-price on digital distribution.

Not that I won't be happy anyway if they come at $10 each. Or if it's Syndicate. Or Lucasarts =)
