Big news! One of our most requested classic games is coming to @GOGcom on the 19th. Hint: its name starts with S
I bet it is Syndicate
Syndicate?

I really doubt that it will be System Shock. I hope it will be though...

edit Sigh, keremix beat me to it. It would make sense for it to be Syndicate though, since the new game is going to be released pretty soon.

I would love to see System Shock, but I think it will be "Secret of Monkey Island" instead.
Sid Meier's Civilization?

Which would not be a disappointment in the slightest.

depends... I have the special edition on steam (can be played with new graphics or original ones)... so no need for me at the moment to a second copy of it.
I don't think it's a new publisher (LA etc), as I think that they would mention this in the tweet.

I know, the Monkey Islands aren't such a hot property these days. But it would mean the treasure chest was finally opened, and that's all I care for.

On the other hand, though, I would think that if GOG got LA on board, they'd pick a different launch title than SOMI. I'd say Grim Fandango would be the best candidate, really.
Sid Meier's Pirates ;)
The Special Edition remake of Monkey Island is a definite possibility. It's a pretty new game, making it comparatively easy to acquire the rights - and GOG has announced that they will start selling newer games this year. The game is sold not just on Steam but also on Xbox Live and PSN as well as by Telltale Games, so GOG would be just another online distributor to sell it. However, it wouldn't necessarily mean that any of the rest of LucasArts' catalog is to follow.
It won't be System Shock. It would be to good to be true and if it would be System Shock they would tease us more.

Actually, Telltale had nothing to do with the remakes / special editions. They were developed and published by LucasArts only.

Also, I don't want the damned special editions. I want the original games, ScummVM compatible. If I wanted the remakes, I'd own them already.
Syndicate or System Shock. Everything else would be a sad joke, if they make such a big deal of it.

Damn, you are here since Dec 2009 and you still don't know how they love sick jokes like that. ;)
