I am sure it has been asked numerous times before but has anyone heard of any recent success towards acquiring either one of these titles for sale on GOG. I just can't believe these two games have a combined total of 20000 that's twenty thousand!!!!!! lol
I meant to say 20000 votes
GOG never reveals their progress about the games/publishers they are negotiating for/with. Apparently, it's a clause in all of their business deals.
ok thanks man yeah I love GOG and all i just cant believe how popular those games are imagine the announcement they would prob make if they get one of those titles :)

Welcome! Please read the "Welcome, please read" thread when you can, ok?
alright I am checking out the rules now :P
They've said they're trying and in the case of Planescape, they're optimistic.
They're always trying for every good game out there, especially the big ones, so (I don't mean this rudely), there's not much point in asking.

That's how their communism works.
Planescape Torment - Recently re-released as a retail boxed version. Works fine in Windows 7 64bit even with all the mods. Atari is here, but because of a legal battle with Hasbro, GOG need Hasbro's consent too. Plus Interplay still seem to figure into the picture somewhere. All in all it's more confused than a neo nazi at a black pride rally.

Then we just have to make them believe that gog.com sells pirated copies. ;-)

Shouldn't be too hard, some people already complain that GOG sells cracked copies.
Convincing them to pay for a download may be tougher, I get the impression they mostly pay for the disc.

HOLY CRAP!!! I just checked Amazon and it's there. Does anyone have first-hand experience of how Planescape:Torment runs on Windows XP? I played about 10 hours into a pirated version a while back and had to give up when I shifted the character over to using magic. Everytime I used a spell the effects for it stalled the game up for a few minutes, making it pretty much unplayable. I had to give up even though I wanted to finish the game. I'd definitely start over and play it through if I was guaranteed it was working/patched version. The story and setting are really awesome, it totally draws you in despite the dated graphics.
