On the day it was born the nurses all gathered round and they gazed in wide wonder at the joy they had found the head nurse spoke up said "leave this one alone" she could tell right away that it was bad to the bone...

Sorry, had to get it out of my head. Anyway, PCGamer have a good retrospective on just how freaking awesome the game was, every time I read something like this it makes me tempted to make a futile beg thread for getting it on GOG

Have a read
I'd love some Bullfrog games to be on GOG: Populous, Powermonger, Theme Hospital, Theme Park, and, of course, Syndicate. :)
Vote Syndicate! Now where's that fecking Starbreeze game, dammit!

I think we all are dying for EA to join GOG.

Thanks for the link Aliasalpha, have to read it in a bit.
Wow. A sci-fi corporate conquest bit of awesomeness? WANT.

Yes, the EA back catalogue contains an unbelievable amount of classics, I also hope for Syndicate + the expansion and Syndicate Wars on GOG some day.
And Populous.
Indeed. I still have to complete the now-abandoned and uber-bastard American Revolt expansion, though (too much busy with Speedball 2 and Doom 3 right now....).

Btw, here's the Making of Syndicate. Dunno if I posted this earlier, and the Forum "Search" of the new GOG is as shitty as ever XD

Syndicate was the shiz! I had this Bullfrog collection with Syndicate and Populous and a few others and every game was simply amazing. BRING EM ON

Oh, you meant the song? I thought that was a recollection from your childhood. ;)
Awesome read, I now have the urge to dress up in navy blue and kill shit while yelling in a robotic voice. You'll be hearing from my mother.
Syndicate was dope.

But somehow too easy. Most of the times running around with the Persuadertron was enough to finish a level and you got free Agent en mass.
THough killing them was more fun and you got weapons for free.
Anlso, if you did not set taxes too high (Germany and America I think LOVED 80% Tax)
you had not so much trouble. If you need more money just raise the Tax in a easy Mission Country.

BUt I did miss the American Revolution add on, just played an old AMIGA demo from it.

After reading the article I remembered how I actively put away my ethical feeling to enjoy dealing out fear and death future citizens.

Man how much hours I out into it. :D

I have a copy on my shelf and could use an extra hundred grand to rebuild my house...
Oh Syndicate, sweet memories. Me, Amiga and Syndicate - what an awesome threesome it was ;)

Nah, the real early gaming porn was that guy, his girlfriend and a tennis for two machine. That was some hot clicky action
