I went over to the Kerberos Productions website (www.kerberos-productions.com) and posted in hopes of having them hopefully considering putting SotS on gog. I also, hope that some people there come over here at gog and check things out.
Sword of the Stars is a very fun and difficult (excellent AI) turn based 4X Space game. I think it would be a great addition to the lineup here. Here's hoping.

Well the games are already up on Gamersgate and they cost 14+ euro each or 24 euro for the collection edition.
If GOG will sell games for 5-10 bucks these games wont come :P
24 euro = 34$
Tho the games ARE worth the 34$ i dont mind paying 5-10 dollars:D

I know the cost may be an issue, but one never knows unless you ask. gog may just help them sell a lot more copies of the game even if it is a little bit lower price wise.
I was thinking of the original game only not the collectors edition. I have the original and the collectors edition and it is a very cool game for sure.
It's good, but old? What? It recently got a new retail release in the UK, but even without that it's still hardly an old game. It's also on a couple of other digital distribution sites already - I bought it from Stardock/Impulse. Sorry, but your post just seems to be saying "I don't want to pay much money for this game so please sell it to me for virtually nothing", when they're already selling it for a reasonable price. If you want to pay less, email them and ask them to drop the price.
GOG is called GOG for a reason, and isn't intended to be a general purpose store, is it?
I agree with msoya. GOG stands for Good old games and thats what it will be. Im not even sure where the limit of the age of the game is. There is a 2002 game (or more) so maybe 2002-2003?

Erm, if you read my post you would have noticed I paid full price for the original game and full price for the collectors edition. So, no I am not looking to get it on the cheap as you suggest since I own 2 copies of the game already.
I had no idea it was on Impulse since I refuse to use it. I simply thought it would allow for greater sells for the people that made SotS.
EDIT: Old is a subjective term is it not?

It's a subjective term, but common sense applies. Sword of the Stars was released in 2006. The first expansion was released in 2007, and they've recently announced a second expansion.
New and old are subjective, but not that subjective.
No need to say it like that. He had a good point. It would certainly get a boost in sales of the game(s). But as you say, its too new.
A game released in 2000-2003 may be hard to get especially in certain countries but 2004-2006 or so are not that hard. (older games than 2000 is even harder to get by)
So my definition of an "old" GAME is 2003 and down, since games come and go fast

Thanks qwsed. I really want to help keep this community the best it can be and not devolve like others do over time.
