Ghorpm: We quit because we want to be on our friends' side with their conflict with the management and we realized that by doing so we can actually show them that they cannot treat people like that. What they did to our co-workers was really terrible (sorry, I cannot give you any more details here) And it seems that we succeeded - they heave problems with their contracts now because we were both main scientists there.
Now i understand your motives and truly proud for you and friend did.Not many wouldnt or cant(family, etc.)do the same thing.Sometimes the hard path is the just one.

Thanks but in all honesty my situation is not that bad. It's my friend who should be praised because it was sooo much harder for him.

I'm still very sad because it could have been avoided SO EASILY! After all the management cannot do whatever it likes. It would have been sufficient if more people had opposed this pathetic dismissal. They didn't. And unfortunately their motives were much worse than "I'm afraid to loose the job myself" (that would be perfectly understandable). I certainly don't wish them ill luck but as somebody has already mentioned: karma is a bitch. The company has a problem with contracts so they will have problems too. I'm actually sorry for them but they brought it on their selves.
oh wow :O

I am also in and +1 =)

Sadly we live in a time that companies or specific bosses that only care about money. They say thats is world crisis while there is some truth to that, they just dont want to give up their way of life with all the money they used to have.
The suffering you have made them go through was quite delicious, well played good sir.

also i'm in.
thanks 4 the giveaway! also +1! :D

btw, have you thought that maybe the managers that fired you were afraid of you? "stealing" their position in the future maybe, since you were probably better than them.

you scared them ;P
Props man, it's great to hear some management assholes getting the shaft. If they have higher-ups themselves, it shouldn't be long before they themselves get ditched. Hope you find a friendlier place to work :-)

Not in, but thanks and congrats!
Could I make a suggestion? Perhaps you could use your excellent contacts to find a new position for yourself (and even maybe your friends) with one of the companies that you were doing work for under your previous employer?

Thanks for the GA but I'm not in ;-)

Oh and Happy Birthday!
Wow, that's taking the good with the bad. Its good that you have such a good reputation and are valued highly by everyone. I;m guessing your employer wanted to keep you but you stood up for your friends and other co-workers. Have no doubt you 4 will find jobs. Hopefully this event was a blessing and better things come of it.
Good luck!
Interesting story. I think you'll be able to get new position quickly with that kind of (positive) reputation.
Anyway, I am NOT in. Just recently got my GOG version of Defender's Quest after I discovered a way to get GOG and Steam keys for early buyer of the game.

Thanks for the giveaway. Hopefully someone who really want the game would won it.
That's the kind of story you see in movies! xD
Glad there's somewhere in the world were people who do bad things get the short end of the stick instead of the other way around! Also I'm in, and thanks for the giveaway. Also, Happy early Birthday!
Not in, +1 for the giveaway, happy birthday, and I am glad to read your story. Hope you'll get a much, much better employer soon :-)
Not in, but thanks for the very nice and encouraging story!
Happy Birthday!

Great story - hope you find employment again very soon, sounds like it shouldn't be too much of a problem..;)

I'm in and thankyou...
Glad to hear that good things happen to good people sometimes :) Count me in! Kinda wanna know what this so-called "weird technique" is, though. Better not find out my phone is tapped o3o
