Wishbone: Try to compare it with UT2004. Would you really say that OAO has the same value as that?

I would.... I've always loved the dark humor that all the oddworld games had. But to be fair it's really apples and oranges. ut has crazy replay value true. But it doesn't have the disturbing charm that all oddworld games carry.

if only you could combine the two.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! :D
I never got into these games but now's a perfect time to. Sweet releases, high profile, what more will come, ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
I kinda agree $10 is maybe too much but eh, oh well. Still pretty cheap!
Yayyyyyyyyyyyy!

i would too.
i think ut2004, infact all multiplayer deathmatch games, are snooze fests.

economicus: I agree 10 USD is a bit to high. I dont know the mecanism behind this price, but we are talking about 10 years old product. And somewhere is statated, that only new titles will be 10 USD, the older will be 6 USD. So im not very happy with this price politics here. But as stated i dont know whats behind such decesion.
Keep the good work GOG!

Guys, I'm no expert either, but I would say it's the owner of licence who needs to be persuaded even to let this game to be sold at such low prices (what about Diablo? more then 12 years old but you probably won't find it here to be downloaded even for 10 $ - way too valuable for Bliz).
So GOG is definitely not deciding under the rule "old - 6, new - 10".
I myself am very happy to be able to find one of my favourite games here, the possibility to download it instantly AND not having to worry if I use XP or Vista. GOG's work is just awesome and for a lousy 10 $ it's always a great buy - if you love the game of course :)
I purchased both of these on Steam (same price) some time ago, but I'll buy them again from GOG so I don't have to use Steam to play them.
Thumbs up!
Im suffering from aneurysm trying to find 2 interesting 10$ Games some weeks ago, now you introduce those 2 games after the get-3-pay-2 offer ran out?
Splendid games and very unique, both of them.

GOG.com: Bet you didn't see this coming. Today we release part one of the adventures of the world's favorite Mudokon.
Armored with a puny, fragile body and armed with cunning and magic chants it's up to you to save your kin from becoming the New and Tasty. The ODDs are against you but they say a Mudokon is most dangerous when cornered (OK, they don't really say that). The game features challenging gameplay and beautiful visuals which still look appealing even in today's HD and next-gen gaming world. Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is definitely a must-have for any gamer who likes a good platformer. Also make sure you keep an eye out for the sequel - Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus. Both games are only $9.99 each.

That's good news, I guess. Still, I can't help but laugh at steam-scoffers for missing out on that package deal that's going on at Steam's store. I mean, $5 is probably not much, but it''s basically enough to buy something ELSE on gog :P

I still have my original retail copies of these and repurchased them on steam during the original launch bundle discount they offered. I'll definitely purchase the GOG ones also at some point. Although the soundtrack is a good start, I would love to see GOG offer some added artwork or other developmental assets to help bait people like myself who are working on purchasing the series for the 3rd time.
If I'm not mistaken had hinted on a forum somewhere that if the digital downloads sold well they might consider PC ports of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath and Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee to offer through digital distribution as well. Although I own the Xbox versions of Stranger's Wrath and Munch's Oddysee, the prospect of PC versions of them has me the most excited right now.
Edit: Ideas for possible added content
I'm sure the Oddworld Universe has some of the best concept art in the industry.
Given Lanning's personality I bet there are some hilarious outtakes from the voice over sessions.

Just realized the game comes with a soundtrack.....that + the game is easily worth $10, no?
Although Exoddus doesnt...

I just turn on my computer, and HOLY SHIT! GoG, you know how to make me happy.
Awww, guys! You need some sort of mailing list. I bought both of the original Oddworld titles via Steam just two days ago! If only I had known!
Holy potato! Stop these unexpected announcements, they just give me heart attacks! Well, bypass fixes everything. I want more, you know...
