Well, Armored Princess is essentially King's Bounty, with all the same bells and whistles, just in a different setting, and you get to play a chick, and eventually get a pet dragon, and a pegasus. I do think it handles troops a bit better, but something about it just isn't quite as weirdly enjoyable as King's Bounty is in its cheesiest moments. If you've played King's Bounty, Armored Princess just feels like "more of the same" despite the different environments. It's not a bad thing if you loved the original, but it makes it hard to really draw a line between the two of them and say that one is better than the other. I guess I would recommend King's Bounty, purely from a personal taste standpoint, but they're both solid.
Armored Princess follows King's Bounty, story-wise, so you could just pick it up farther down the road after you've finished the first, which I promise you will take a long time anyway.
