To make up for the lack of Tuesday release, we're releasing today Dark Fall 2. DF: Lights Out is a fine title for anyone who enjoys first-person perspective point-and click games... With a touch of suspense.
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/dark_fall_lights_out]Dark Fall 2: Lights Out, also known simply as Dark Fall II or just Lights Out, is a point-and click horror-adventure game. Much like the older titles from the Myst series, you control the game by clicking specific areas of the pre-rendered scenery. You take the role of Benjamin Parker, a cartographer hired to map the dangerous shores of a small English town. Surprisingly, there already is a lighthouse on a small island near the town, so why would anyone want to hire a cartographer? It soon becomes apparent that something strange is happening within the lighthouse, so you set out to investigate, before its keepers or anyone else gets hurt...
Only played a little of the first one while I'm concentrating on other titles, but I like what I've seen so far. Will likely grab this.
You have redeemed yourselves, GOG.
Interesting release. This was recently updated in a Director's Cut Edition, which is also quite cheap. And released in the Adventures of Horror-compilation as well. Won't complain about a surprise game, though. :-)
For some strange reason I'm hoping you get to introduce yourself as "Benjamin Parker, mighty cartographer"
Great news, I was wondering if you'd be able to snag this one as well!
Must admit to not knowing about this game.
Very tempting...
Thanks GOG Team.
We do our best to satisfy GOGers :)
Looks interesting. What kind of adventure is it? The kind where you can go horribly wrong and have to start over. Or the slightly more linear but generally more likeable kind?
As for this month of Activision, how is it going to work? I take it you don't intend to release the full 15 titles during that month? Only that always seemed kinda mad to me, given the work involved.
"The setup files are corrupted". Downloaded twice from two different locations..
EDIT: Third times the charm, got 702MB this time instead of 580 :-)

I'll be this come pay day to complete my set. Although I still really want some way to run the first one in a window (which is why I haven't played it much yet). 'tis a fair bit annoying having to reset window positions and sizes, etc., any time I try to play it >_<.
Wishlisted... I still haven't played the first one, but this is a very welcome addition and I know that I'll get round to it one day.

Umm... there's an error on either the front-page banner or the pricing page.
Banner says it's $5.99, the blurb beneath says $9.99, and the game page says $9.99. As the first Dark Fall is $9.99, I'm guessing it's the higher price point, so the graphic probably needs a fix. Not that I'd complain about paying $5.99 instead. :)

EDIT: *sigh* That was supposed to be two separate posts, was entered as such. Forum gremlin strikes again.
It's a similar setup to the first game by all accounts. If that's the case, there will be no game-breaking moments. Just retry the puzzle. The first game's puzzles were "just right" in terms of difficulty in my opinion.

I bought both for $5.99 each - great games! No, seriously - if you like ghost games, you can't do much better.
This isnt the The Director’s Cut Edition, isnt it?
