I'm in heaven! I mean, if I believed in heaven, it would look like this! Hell yeah! :)
OHSHITOHSHITOHSHITOHSHITOHSHIT!!!!!!
It should be an instabuy for me, but having spent quite a fair bit on several games last week, including DBTS and MDK2, I don't think I'm ready for this :(
Ohhhh- MY GOD!
I wish GOG would change the cover, though. It's quite an eyesore, IMO. I agree the original isn't much better, but at least it doesn't have all those white areas.

Gotta agree with you there. The cover is ugly.

esoterikism: Good memories of riding around in tanks blowing stuff up.

Wishbone: Riding around in tanks? Are you sure you're thinking of Cannon Fodder?

oh yes. tanks, helicopters and boats from what i remember.
from http://amigareviews.classicgaming.gamespy.com/cannonfo.htm
" Thinking that it sounds like 72 maps of pretty much the same thing? Wrong! Although you start off the game with a fairly simple run-around-and-shoot-everything approach, you quickly cotton onto the fact that this tactic only works for the first few levels, and that a bit more finesse is required for later levels. By the time you get to Mission Seven, many of the levels are puzzles in the Lemmings mould, and successfully completing the level depends as much on you planning ahead as it does on your reactions. How exactly do you get past the helicopter, evade the gun turrets, blow up the bunkers and then blast down the stockade wall so that a civilian can escape to his house? Well, take it from me, it's hugely difficult and involves a tank.
Yes, tanks! And skidoos and jeeps and helicopters firing heat-seeking missiles. Whatever fearsome vehicles the bad guys have got, then at some point in the game you get to drive them as well. Many of them haven't got a weapon, but that's no problem as you can just drive over people, and whenever you find a ramp, then rest assured there's lots of Dukes Of Hazzard tomfoolery to be had."
wow.. i loved the demo/shareware version back in the day... but i did think it was all just running around on foot shooting people... if i'd know it had more to it i'd probably have bought it!
It really doesn't get any better than this.
Yes. Sold!
Ahh, I remember the Mega Drive version.
It was such insane in difficulty for me at the time, I barely made it to mission 3. By then, all the guys were dead.

Yeah, it could be better :)
We tend to work with what we have/get from the publisher. It's the best we could do given the circumstances. It's really hard to get high quality artwork, in fact I'd say that's the hardest of them all. We manage to get the contract, get a working master and then no find out we have no additional assets.
If you have any digital game artwork that you think we could use, please contact support. One of these days we'll add some kind of submission page.
For games like Cannon Fodder, in which an Amiga version existed.
Exotica Archive - Amiga Box Scans
Quality ranges, and sometimes comes with the stickers they placed on the box. People with good photoshop skills, should be able to use/tidy them into something.
