LiquidOxygen80: Eh, I'm a Browns fan. I have no horse in this. (huehue) Although, as a Browns fan, I definitely will pull for the 'Hawks.
NoNewTaleToTell: I'm not trying to make fun of you guys or anything, but what did you think of the troubles the Browns had finding a new coach this year? Do you think that coach will still be in Cleveland next year if he doesn't take the team right to the playoffs?
To be honest, I think the front office has problems learning from their mistakes. Firing Chudzinski after one year seems like an aberation, unless you're a Browns fan. Butch Davis, 3 years. Terry Robiskie, 6 games. Romeo Crennel, 3 years.
Eric Mangini, 2 years. Pat Shurmur, 2 years. Chudz? One year, and even though the Browns' record was crap, they showed across the board marked improvement in every category except the run game and at the quarterback position...mainly because both Hoyer and Campbell got injured and we were stuck with Weeden.
The coach issue is just the tip of the iceberg of the problems. Bad draft choices, bad QBs, (Weeden, Colt McCoy, Brady Quinn, need I go on?) It's clearly an organization with absolutely zero direction, from the top all the way down to the bottom. My thoughts on Pettine? He'd better be Jesus, because that's the only way our front office doesn't screw the pooch again.
