As our catalog gets bigger and better every week, it's easy to lose track of some of the awesome games that we have to offer. We've been running one day "Gaming Gem" promos for a while now to highlight some classic titles that don't get the love of some of our best-known blockbusters like Baldur's Gate or Duke Nukem 3D. To celebrate summer, for the next two weeks until July 25th, we're going to run a Gaming Gem promo every day, so you can rediscover these lesser-known classics! Grab that plastic toy shovel and dig out gem after gem over the next 18 days. We think every game we're going to be offering on our Summer GOG.com Gem Extravaganza will be an excellent title, and we hope you give them all a try.

Today’s promo will introduce you to John Cord, an MI6 operative sent to the fictitious country of Volgia, which occupies a stretch of the coastline between Russia and China. Your mission: to infiltrate an uranium mine and untangle the mystery of an agent gone missing. In Cold Blood is an mix of an 80s spy novel with a elegantly simple combat system. An espionage game would be nothing without the genre-defining sneaking system similar to the one used in game where a certain burglar was lurking in the shadows. The pre-rendered backgrounds and cinematic camera angles evoke memories of such a classic as Alone In The Dark. [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/in_cold_blood]In Cold Blood has nothing to be shy about when confronting this masterpiece in terms of narrative, game play, and story.

Are you ready to become a servant for Her Majesty and unravel the plot behind the soviet uranium facility? Pick up In Cold Blood on sale for just $2.39 today!

No luck for me yet with the Summer Gems sale...
Anyone get this to run on 64 bit Windows 7?
Yeah, totally getting this.

Gotta support Revolution Software. :)
Would have liked to get this, but the fact that Revolution made it put me off.

I bought Broken Sword 3 (also by Revoultion I think) off gog and I spent hours trying to get it to work, to no avail, in the end I bought it for XBOX on ebay so I could play it.

While its cheap, I find it annoying that gog wont give a refund if a game doesnt work for you, whereas a retail shop would credit you to the value of the game.

So, once bitten...

Not knocking gog, their house, their rules, I'm just wary of Revolution games vs my win 7 PC. :)

Aah shucks!

Looks a decent game if you like that sort of thing - I'll pass.

1 out 6

At least I'm saving some money - but think I'll probably blow it all after the sale if there isn't anything else I like...cos GOG has got me in the mood for gaming!

Keep up the good work GOG'ers
While I had problems with Broken Sword 3 as well (in fact, I never got the GOG version to run), I never had problems with In Cold Blood - which is actually quite a good game.
i don't own it

Up until today I'd been having the same luck. This was not on my wishlist but, at less than 10 quarters, what the hell?

Thanks GOG!
Neat! A Revolution game and a cheaper price make this an instabuy for me. I've had this sitting in my wishlist for ages so it seems as though these Hidden Gems sales do in fact work on folks like me.
I played this at a friends house when i was younger, and bought when it came to GoG.. I'm not really a stealth person (i really suck at it :P) so i haven't gotten that far, but it's a good gam.. and for less than 3 bucks, i say give it a try!

I've installed this on several computers already, all with win7 64bit, and i have had no trouble making it work on any af them.
I didn't have this title. Now I do. :)
played this on ps1 or was it ps2? annoying controls.........but a decent a game..bought!
What to do, what to do?
I own a hard copy of it somewhere but should I get a digital one?
It was a good game, not the greatest. I remember having to replay the same part few times to get thinks done correctly but the story kept you going.
No real bonus content incentive.
?
Ahh yes, the only GOG game I've ever wanted my money back for.

Care to explain why?
