Briareos262: ahh yeah, so its basically nothing except Metal Gear titles from them or nothing basically. Don't they know they have an awesome IP backlog, dammit >_< Outside of Suikoden, I would love nothing more than a revival of the Snatcher series, remake plus fancier graphics and bundled with a newly translated Policenauts =D I can only dream =(

CharlesGrey: They'll wait until the project is closer to complication, and everyone gets excited, then they'll stomp it. It's what the big publishers and their lawyers like to do. They're sadistic like that. :(

So, yeah... While this seems cool, realistically I expect only two possible outcomes for this project. It will either end up as vapor-ware, remaining unfinished for years, or it will be taken down due to legal issues. Possibly a combination of both. At least that's usually how it goes. :(

so that does offer us a small sliver of hope

and merry gear solid might eb a parody it does us the game play mechanics and the tx 55 of metal gear

CharlesGrey: At this time, this probably isn't on their radar at all. But if it grows bigger, and some popular gaming sites start posting about it, Konami might well do something about it. :/

For all I know, corporations like Konami or other big publishers have lawyers for the sole purpose of hunting down copyright and trademark infringements. They basically get paid for finding and shutting down this sort of thing. :(

CharlesGrey: Maybe they don't consider it a threat since it's very different from their official games, and more of a parody? Plus, they have to be careful about attacking these fan projects, since it can cause backlash and boycotts among the gaming community.

Shoot, I don't know. It's not like I ever claimed to understand the logic (?) of AAA publishers and their lawyers. Often their decisions seem quite random, or completely unreasonable.

i dont even want a remake just those two games translated and re released
