Wishbone: Yes, it's truly excellent, but not complete as such. It's missing the Xen part of the original Half-Life. It's coming, but considering how long the development time was on the first part of the game, I wouldn't hold my breath. So if you don't mind that it doesn't contain the whole of the original game yet, please do get it. They truly did an excellent job.
LOOL i played it the moment it was uploaded, and i enjoyed as if its the first time ive played, ive played the old one 3 times and i would still play it if i had it. the new one is simply put "epic" the best of the best.... but the problem is that alot of the textures where missing, do u know where to download it with all the textures and no bugs ?

I have no idea what you mean. I haven't noticed any missing textures, nor any aggravating bugs.

no man, i dont like these kinds of games... skyrium is still installed and i loved its terrain and scenery but a game like this should have more eplosions and magic, like memteor shower or some spells drom Diablo 2. but if u like these kinds of games try HEXEN.
the hardest two games ive ever played are HEXEN and DOOM 2

sorry man i replied to another post, he gave me a suggestion.....i downloaded it from the official site, along with the soundtrack album and still textures where missing... anywayz ill give it another try

ooh that reminds me.

Alien vs Predator is an excellent Sci-fi FPS series. I'm very fond of the two originals though both of those are only in 4/3 aspect ratio. the new one is Okay too, nice and gory.

I thought 2 was way better than one because of the intermingled (spell) story line and the fact that you get to play a face hugger and a chest burster. Let me repeat that: YOU GET TO PLAY A FACE HUGGER AND A CHEST BURSTER!!

Ah. I preferred the 1st one by far. I found it graphically much more creepy, less cartoony, more movies-y. It frightened me more. I also preferred the disjoined sequences of AvP1 (and their feel-the-blank optional storyline) to the more goofy comics plot of AvP2.

Generally, I felt AvP1 was closer to the movies feel, more crual and brutal. And AvP2 was closer to the comics, toys, and other by-products. Plus, I didn't care much for the facehugger/chestburster, as this sequence was too heavily scripted.

Yeah, i found AvP 1 to be scarier, there were quite a few areas that were pitch black and absolutely required you to make your own light sources or use night vision. Gave it a very creepy atmosphere.

2 was more fun, overall a better game too (I don't think 1 has aged all that well). but it was more on the action and less on the scares and creepiness. There weren't any pitch black areas, it was like they wanted to show off their (at the time) kick arse textures.

Actually they sort of mirror the Alien movies in that way, 1 feeling more like a horror movie and 2 feeling more like an action movie.
