Some shots attached of my games as I need some info as to what items I have here.

First off in shot sk 001......is the blue potion a small or large health potion(I've had both a wide bottomed and thin bottomed blue health potion before....both called healthy potions in my journal....neither description matches the names given in stonekeep inventory lists online though)? The game doesn't tell me much beyond a vague description and i'm anal about these small details so I gotta know. I also am pretty sure the green ones are a strength and an agility potion respectively. If someone could verify this as well i'd appreciate it.

In shot sk 002 it shows the old health potion I had....and sk 003 shows the one I have now.

Also is there any use for all the skulls and broken swords I keep picking up?(Please don't spoil...a simple yes or no will suffice.) :)

Why didn't you post this in the Stonekeep forum? The last thing that we need is General Discussion clutterered up with specific game support/help posts.

You'll also need to re-attach sk_002 and sk_003. There's a bug in attachments. The best way I've found around it is to just do a new post with each new attachment (even if the post text is minimal) so that your posts combine.

First off, because the game specific forums don't get alot of traffic and I might not get many answers.......I also did it because everyone else does it(even regulars), and as such I didn't think anyone would mind. ;)

(Also clutter up general? Are you bonkers? General has been cluttered since I started coming here. 0.o)

You of all people should know that this is an absolutely invalid argument. Have you even tried the Stonekeep forums?

Oddly enough I noticed that since the site came out of beta the amount of pages added to the general forums has increased exponentially since then. (I think using default thread listing per page settings there's like 150ish pages of threads before the beta ended and the rest were added since then.)

Funnily enough when others ask game related questions in general they get actual answers and not a bunch of complaints(well some complain but not as many it seems.). :P

(But seriously can we curtail off-topic replies and allow others to post on-topic answers instead of quippy comments? ;)....)

(I didn't try the stonekeep forums btw, but if I don't get a reply here i'll try there.)

But how would you learn then? ;-P

Bah, if everyone else can do it then why can't I?

(And btw I notice many people new and old post game related questions in here......funnily enough when they do it most give them a free pass. ;)....)
Broken swords and skulls are useless but if you're anal about throwing stuff away keep them, the scroll doesn't have a limit on the number of items it can carry, although the more stuff in it the more cumbersome it becomes in terms of managing it.

You can confirm the effects of potions yourself. Save, drink one, check the changes in Drake's stats and the list of current effects he's under in the journal. Once you've confirmed which potion does what reload to the save you made to get the potions back. To check the difference between health potions you'll need Drake not to be at full HP, obviously. Anyway, the HP's restored by potions and roots are not set, they are random, so keep that in mind.

Anyway, this is what i have on my own notes about potions:

Large Healing Potion (Decorated Small Vial): Restores Vitality Points +++
Medium Healing Potion (Tall Thin Vial) : Restores Vitality Points ++
Small Healing Potion (Short Wide Vial): Restores Vitality Points +
Agility Potion (Light Green): Boosts Agility
Strenght Potion (Green Brew): Boosts Strenght

btw, the reason questions like this should go on specific boards is because the solutions carry over to the support pages. This one, if and when you decide to mark it as solved, won't. I'm not too fussy anut a sporadic question being here but there is a reason why they shouldn't go here and as such the philosophy that you should just post them here without even attempting to get answers in the specific board is faulty. First you try it there, if you don't get ant attention after a while you then move it here. If everybody just assumed they won't get an anwer there and as such move directly to post themh ere we wouldn't have support pages filled with loads of solutions provided by the community.

So the flak is not because it's you, it's because you didin't even tried to get an answer in the stonekeep forums, which although a slow moving forum is actually one where people do keep posting, making questions and getting answers.
Thanks Namur for the info and needed chastisement. One thing though......what is the potion I have? A small, medium, or large healing potion?

I'm guessing the Small healing potion is the one I had and used(On image 2 I think), as it's low and wide.......and I guess the one I have now(image 3) is the medium health potion?

Thanks for any confirmations btw.

Also to be fair I'll post this as well in the subforum so anyone else can get the info I provide from making this thread.

Yeah, that's it, but you can confirm it by keeping track of restored HP's when Drake needs to gob them health pots. Even though the restored HP's are random after 2 or 3, by looking at the average of restored HP's by each type of vial, you'll have no trouble telling which is which.

Thanks for the confirmation then. If I need any further info I can count on you I hope?

Also can you copy/paste post 10 which you made to here so I can mark it as solution so it gets added to that's game's solution lists/etc?

I haven't seen a lot of game-related support questions in General; the only other one I've seen was from someone who was relatively new. I gave him a pass because I generally give forum newbies a pass on other things which wouldn't fly in other forums I read, namely, posting painfully common topics when spending a few minutes searching the forums would answer their questions.

IMHO, it's just good forum etiquette to post topics in the subforums for which they're intended; that's something I learned the hard way on other fora I used to frequent. There are other places to get help for older games like GameFAQs.

Provided the info can be found in my pool of infos or that i can track it down if it isn't, sure, i'll pass it along to you.

I don't feel that confortable doing it, but as a one time thing, sure, i'll chime in in there.
