GoJays2025: Yeah I'll play as Alexa. :)
Nice. Alright, I'll let everyone know soon and we can start!
Ok, we're good to go!

Let the game begin!

Player characters: you may now post here as many times as you want to do as many of the following as you want (no limit): search a room for clues, examine a piece of evidence, publicly question any NPC or PC (I will roleplay the response of the PC's too, when questioned publicly.)

Everyone will now be allowed to ask private questions of PCs/NPCs. Wait for my PM.

Whenever you think you have all 4 elements of an accusation, you can feel free to make it here. But remember, getting any of the elements wrong will lead to a 50% chance that the person you accused will not speak to you in private anymore. (Even if you accuse the RIGHT person or people, if you have insufficient evidence, an incorrect motive or a bad theory of the crime, then they may still refuse to speak to you afterwards.)

In my 3rd and 4th post, I will constantly update public information regarding evidence and testimony.

Any questions, feel free to ask!!!

Okay. First, I would like to request a map for the layout of the rooms. I'm still not sure of the exact layout of the building.

I'll see what I can do. I had intended to do this, but I'm so god awful at making stuff like that. Perhaps I can make it and someone can refine it?

While I work on that, hopefully this gives you a vague idea in combination with the description.

Heck with that, formatting didn't come out right when posting. So I will make a crappy map for now.

Any map would be better than no map. Just a general layout of the rooms would be nice. Also, could you have the door location on it?

Questions:
Alexa: "Did you notice anybody leave the table during dinner?"
Examine:
The piano in the lounge. Is it a player piano?
Very cool forum game, thanks for putting this together :)

Are the PCs potential suspects?

Technically, yes, any of the 10 (7 NPCs + 3 PCs), but that would be a little too devious for me... lol. OR WOULD IT? MUHAHAHA.. lol

Here is a very rudimentary map enclosed. Hopefully it gives you at least some idea of the rooms in relation to each other.

Alexa: "Yes... I think at least 3 other people got up from the table during dinner. There was Beth Grabner and CC Morris, I think they got up at the same time, probably touching themselves up, er, their makeup up. Horace Wheeler also left the table once."

The piano is in the living room. Yes, it is a player piano.

Question:
Dr. Morris: "What kind of relationship does your wife have with Beth Grabner and have you ever suspected your wife of infidelity?"
Charlie: "Did you or Horace leave the kitchen in the time between dinner and the scream?'
Horace: "Did you or Charlie leave the kitchen in the time between dinner and the scream?"

Examine:
Lounge. Examine any blunt instruments that could have been used to knock out Dr. Morris.

Dr. Morris:, "As far as I know the relationship between Beth Grabner and my wife is alright. Beth does CC's hair, and they play music together sometimes."

Charlie Wheeler: "Neither I nor Horace left the kitchen between the time of the dinner and the scream."

Horace Kim: "I think Charlie Wheeler left the kitchen at some point. I was kinda lost in thought for awhile."

Examination: the blunt object that struck Dr. Morris does not appear to be located in the lounge. The best candidate for that here would be a miniature replica lighthouse on a glass table, but it is dusty and looks like it hasn't been touched in weeks.

Judge Zelger has not yet detected a lie... (Though anyone might have lied, just the 25% chance didn't kick in.)

Examine:
Stairs. Is there anything laying on the stairs.
Dr. Morris's head. Is he cut/bleeding?

Question:
Horace Kim: "Did anybody leave the table during dinner?"
CC Morris: "Who do you think killed Joseph and why would they?"

Horace Kim: "Did anybody leave the table during dinner?"
CC Morris: "Who do you think killed Joseph and why would they?"
Horace Kim: "Beth Grabner, myself, CC Morris and ummm... I think 1 other person."

CC Morris: "[intoxicated] Well, let'sssss think about dis for a minutee.. uhhh.. based on the way he was killed, the neck and all.. ouch, does that sound personal to you? I sug... sug... suggest someone very close, but maybe n..not in a uh, intimate way... because then there would be uh...other injuries."

Stairs: a torn piece of fabric. It is navy blue.

Morris' head is not cut, but he clearly took a big wallop. It is purple and swelling.

(Again, either no one is lying or non-detected so far.)

Examine:
Terrace: Are there any unusual objects lying out there?
Hallway: Is there a blunt instrument that could have been used to strike Dr. Morris? (P.S., in your evidence post under lounge, you had written Dr. Wheeler. Is that a mistake?)
Body: Any other visible marks on the body besides the stab wound?

Question:
Horace: Which way did Beth, yourself, and CC go when they got up during dinner?
Margie: Were you ever in the study?
Peter: Was there anyone who was not at the table during dinner?

Terrace: Stub of a cigar lies on the floor. A glint of light catches your eye in the bushes, there is something in there.

Hallway: Object used to strike Dr. Morris is not here. The room is bare, save for a table with a lamp that would be too large to wield effectively. (BTW thanks for the correction.)

Body: Center of the palm on the right hand reveals a minor cut. The wound is light.

Horace: "I can't say for Beth and CC, they got up at the same time from the dinner table and headed in the direction of the bathroom. I just got up to stretch my legs, I went down the hall towards the study."

Maggie: "I walked by the study after dinner. But no, I didn't see anything suspicious."

Peter: "Everyone was there except Paul, of course. Where is he? Course, you got up from your seat at one point, so did Beth and my wife CC, they were off to the bathroom. Ladies, you know."
ASK

Ask Beth Grabner:
(*). Do you recall how many songs you played with piano after dinner, and if you do, what are they?
(*). Was there anybody else with you when you were playing piano?

Ask Margie Donnelley:
(*). When you walked by the study after dinner, did you hear any music playing from the living room, and if so do you know what song was currently played?

Hon. Michael Zelger:
(*). When you were in the terrace, did you hear any music playing from the living room, and if so do you know what song/songs was/were currently played?

EXAMINE

Examine the large kitchen knife more closely.

Examine the study room in general for anything that seems out of place.

Examine the multiple items lying on the study room floor.

Examine the shiny object in the bushes in the terrace.

Examine myself (ha...ha...), if I were struck in the forehead, did I really not see who my assailant was?

EDIT: Ouch, the questions will only be answered when asked publicly? In that case, make all questions above asked publicly then. I have not accused anybody, so that should be okay right?
