Corax: Indigo Prophecy can be easily tweaked to show the "deleted" scenes by changing USmode=1 to USmode=0 in the game's .ini file.
source: wikipedia

wow, just like that, by a .ini file? I thought they haven't included the proper content on disc/download. Well, thanks for the quick answer, although I'm already dreaming of Fahrenheit drm-free sitting next to my Psychonauts and BG&E here on gog. ;)

anjohl: So far, the steam sale looks blah to me. And I don't agree with thse one day sales at all, in part because I don't get paid until the 29th, and also because it's just not a convenient way to do a sale. Great for impulse sales for Valve, but not great for the consumer.

Agreed, it's really tiresome to have to check from 24h to 24h, BUT, it is where the giant discounts are, like stalker for $1.99.
Maybe I won't touch a computer for some of the next days, then I might loose some of the 24h specials. :/
This thread is getting popular on Steam.

as my work blocks steam sites, what does that thread talk about?
Just impulse purchased Fallout3 GOTY for $17.49!
I then came here to post about it and it seems to have returned to $37.49?!
Very odd. I wonder if I got one of their 24 hour sales early.

I hope you're right that it will be on 24h. I'm on the line for it being $15-20.

TheCheese33: Did anyone buy the Eidos pack, then realize that some title popped up there that you never want associated with your account? I mean, it's awesome that I got Arkham Asylum and Rogue Trooper on the cheap, but Flora's Fruit Farm? It has violated my beautiful Steam games collection.

That, sir, is why I'm putting off buying the Eidos pack. I mean, I'll probably get it, but I'm stalling like mad. It's such an incidental, worthless bit of nonsense to whine about, but still, I once before bought the Meridian 4 pack for cheap and got 4 good games (Chains, Obulis, and both Shadowgrounds games--all worth getting for dirt cheap right nao go go go!!) and 20 terrible games I'll never play. It's scarred me.
I'm lovin' the deals so far. I really wish I held off on getting the Witcher when it was a midweek deal, since I haven't played it more than 30 minutes. :(((( The daily deals are going to drive me nuts. I mean, do we really have TEN days of daily deals? Jesus. Valve is brilliant with those. I assume that's their reaction to the growing number of competitors, a way to keep all fools like us looking at their page day after day and browsing constantly.

If anyone here doesn't own stalker and fails to buy it at $2 i'm going to strangle them and write "i hate good games" on their body.

Commander Keen is AWESOME. No shame required
I already own Mirror's Edge, STALKER, and Defense Grid so not much for me today. I picked up Call of Cthulhu though, as well as another 10 assorted games that were all 3 euros or less.
Will buy The Witcher EE too, most probably.

Yes. Click "install game" and the size is shown in the window that pops up.

Modern Warfare 2 is currently selling more copies than STALKER.

Makes sense. MW2 is MUCH more polished, is the latest game in its series, was advertised (period), and has multiplayer.
I went and bought about $60.00 worth of games for $30.00. I love this time of year...
As a sidenote, I find it funny that Steam's discount on Valve products is only 25%. So much for getting Portal on the cheap...

it's still depressing.
what do you people think of stalker clear sky? i love SOC, and CS says it has 'faction warfare' gameplay, which is everything i dreamed of while playing SOC. but i've also heard bad things mumbled about it...
