stonebro: Seems that the Star Wars pack is 75% off in Europe but only 33% off in the US.
Edit: Apparently this was a bug, and KOTOR is now included in the SW pack.

KOTR appears on the list when I check it.

kiva: Wasn't Universe at War already at 4.99?

I wish. It's not worth that.
No excuse for anyone not to buy Torchlight now... no not even because it's on icky Steam. Even if it vanishes into the ether five years from now you will get $5 of entertainment out of Torchlight by then. Also, that makes it official as the last time I buy anything from Steam at full price again -- no matter what the price or status of the indie developer.
Rest of the deals are fairly mediocre.

Then the SW pack is not at all worth it.
I guess I'll just pick up the Lumines Pack and wait for what tomorrow brings.
FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU
bought lumines last night for $7.50

I'm fairly sure the US version was $10 before the correction.

taczillabr: Just curious, may I ask you why you bought broken sword over steam? I've checked now and they are available on GOG for $0.60 cents more, without any DRM or needing for internet connection.
avatar
Foxhack: Because I didn't know GOG -had- [...] (I do prefer DRM-free games, of course!)

No problem, enjoy your games. When you see an old game on steam, just remember that maybe it is available here for a lower price, especially the interplay games. A lot of people bought the fallout games there for $9.99, whereas today it is costing $3.xx here on gog.
avatar
bansama: ... that and they have the "I want my games only on Steam" fanboy mentality working in their favor.

Yeah, the number of blind fanboys is increasing, that explains a lot of high/full price purchases just to have the games listed on that app, even if some games won't work correctly.

kiva: Wasn't Universe at War already at 4.99?

For me yes, it was $4.99 since the first day, I don't know if it was in the U.S. too. This game uses GFWL.

Same here, and same for the mediocre deals except for torchlight today. I've passed torchlight on full price, bought it on the first deal, and now they offer it for $5; I've passed on BF2 for $30, bought on the first deal for $15, now they offered for $7.49. AAARGH :-/
These DD strategies are getting pretty annoying, now even some of the weekend deals aren't worth of purchase. You have to consider playing a game only six months after its online release, otherwise you'll be the one paying the triple than the game is worth paying for. I'm not talking only recent AAA games, but even older games recently released, for example BF2.

lol, this is exactly why I am not buying ianything I want except the daily deals until the 3rd, to make sure nothing I would have bought goes on sale.
I'd do the same if I were you guys too. Already had two of my friends bite on Torchlight at 10 telling me "you'll regret not picking it up for 10!"
Grabbed the Shooter Pack, Zombie Shooter 2, Trine, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Titan Quest: Gold, and Indigo Prophecy.

stonebro: Today's deals:
Dragon Age - 25% off (normal game and digital deluxe edition)
Torchlight - a WHOPPING 75% off
Lumines Base + Advance Pack - 80% off
Prototype - 50% off
Universe at War: Earth Assault - 75% off
Star Wars Premier Pack - 75% off
A couple of sweet deals there, although DA:O even at a 25% discount is STILL more expensive than just going to my local store and buying it retail.

Yeah, I already have Torchlight (bought a little too early at $10) and the only other one I'm interested in from that list is Dragon Age. But I'm waiting for a real discount, down to $20 or less. If I have to wait another 6-12 months, that's fine with me; I have plenty of stuff to play in the meantime.

Stiler: I'd do the same if I were you guys too. Already had two of my friends bite on Torchlight at 10 telling me "you'll regret not picking it up for 10!"

Well, I rarely do -- Torchlight was one of the few exceptions and that was at release so I don't feel too bad about it -- I do think it was a bit shifty to put it as the weekend deal a week before the Christmas sale although at that point I guess people should have known it would probably go on sale again.
And yeah, that Dragon Age 'discount' doesn't impress me too much but then again I was never a huge fan of the Bioware combat system of queue and pause. Mostly waiting for the alleged $18 deal on FO3 and possibly a further reduction of Killing Floor.
