a word of caution, avoid any dirt 3 giveaways, it seems that they giveaway fake keys(about 3million of em ) hacked from codemasters site, everyone's freaking out on steam right now after valve has said that account using the said keys will be disabled.

Guys, don't enter Dirt3 giveaways! Also don't accept or buy Dirt3 keys even if it comes from your friend. All AMD Dirt3 keys got leaked so Valve my ban all Steam accounts (worst case) or remove the game from the account (better case).

Yeah, saw that yesterday. Tried one key on a new steam account and it worked just fine. This is the second time keys got leaked. Some time ago there was a list of 2500 keys. As for now Steam don't ban people, but removes the game from their accounts. Only one person got banned but I don't know the details.

Anyway, don't put any Dirt 3 giveaways, even legit ones right now, you'll get banned in no time.

Hopefully Valve will make the new Steam trading feature API accessible which would eliminate this sort of problem (since it only supports Extra Copies, which have to be paid for; they cannot be generated from keys).

As long as the trade system is in beta I'm not using this. Seen a lot of people scammed during trades. Right now it's just too prone to hacks.

Also, there will also be a market for trading keys. Remember that other stores sell steam games as well and all you get from them is a key.
