Normally Flash/Communities are just early, quick versions of the dailies, with a few exceptions on the flashes I think
Tempted by Fallout 3 / New Vegas but I hear they have major probs with Win7 and integrated graphics cards (im on an intel 4000) any ideas?
My net keeps cutting out today - frequently - so googling isnt really too possible!

I've played New Vegas on Win 7 without any problems, not with an integrated card, though.

dae6: For anyone still on the fence, the deal on Kerbal Space Program is pretty good and likely the cheapest it's going to be for a while. It costs less now than it was when it got it a year ago.
im sure someone said it hit 50% a while back, is that true?

i really want to get this game but funds are tight atm so im really hoping for a little more off!
I splurged today on Steam:

1. Fallout New Vegas Ultimate = $5
2. Doom 3 BFG = $5
3. Legend: Hand of God = $2.50
4. Overlord = $1.25

I have a big smile on my face :)
okay, so according to this and several other threads (my net seems to have stabilised a bit) i should be okay:

New Vegas, no doubt. Today I gifted this game to my brother and I bought Portal 2 for myself

Hmm, I don't recall it being lower than it is now, but I could be wrong. I took a peek at some of those steam price history sites, and the lowest I could find was $15 or so.

The cost of KSP has been going up as they release more features, with the developers taking something of a Minecraft approach, charging less for early adopters and slowly increasing the price. It has been steady at $23 for a bit, but I'm not sure if that is high as they plan to go.

If it is, perhaps a bigger sale will come along by Christmas, but I'm just speculating here.

Better in everything except the engine. And I guess exploration, but to be fair, a lot of Fallout 3 exploration was based on going through a whole load of nothing.

sounds bit like oblivion in that sense
Trying to decide whether or not I want to buy New Vegas. It looks cool and everything, but I've already bought a lot of games throughout the year including a big DND bundle on GOG. I own FO3, but I couldn't get it to run no matter what guide I followed (I have windows 7), and when I played FO3 on my roommate's ps3, I really couldn't get behind it for one reason or another (I only made it into about 3 hours of gameplay). Advice on whether or not I should buy?

They're really different: Fallout 3 is "choice-driven", meaning that the player is a sort of demiurge of the world of Fallout - what you choose will happen. This is interesting, because you feel powerful, but it has a negative effect on the whole game experience: you'll never be caught off guard, no dramatic turns of events, nothing at all. It is developed by Bethesda, and I think they did a good job in preserving the same feeling of the original games.

New Vegas is a real RPG, developed by Obsidian - with all the pro and the cons of Obsidian games, actually. Obviously, being the original developers of the Fallout series, the adherence to the original concept is even more marked in this game, and the story too is far better. You'll find more bugs, probably, even if I was able to play without problems.
