Did anyone buy Iron Warriors for $0.49 ? Were you able to get it to run in Win7 ?

FantasyNightmare: I HIGHLY recommend Just Cause 2 at that price. That is a really fun game with a great PC port. The fact you can now get it with all the dlc for about $4 is a steal, quite possible one of the best deals so far.
Furthermore, while I'd recommend Blood Dragon at its usual price, it's now about $8. Another recommended game, I love it.
Tempted by Darksiders 2, but I've heard issues about the port. Is it worth getting it and the DLC for its price now? Or should I wait for another price drop? Also, what DLC is included in its Season Pass?
Also, I'm kinda excited by the prospect of 75% off Sleeping Dogs
Darksiders 2 is awesome if you play with a controller; if you try playing it on mouse and kb it can be a pain in the ass. I don't know if you ever played Darksiders 1, but this one handles differently. Instead of being a tank-like War, you're a rogue-like Death, in mmo terms.

I'd get it while it's on sale. The DLC is not essential, but there's 2-3 of them that are meaty enough to justify purchasing. Otherwise it's just gear upgrades which are marginally better than the drops in-game after you reach a certain level.
Considering Darksiders 2 + DLCs now, as the little I have played the first game (with the Logitech F310 gamepad), I liked.

mushy101: The issues with Darksiders 2 have been mostly ironed out. It was a poor pc port before the patches, which improved the graphic options and took care of the bugs.

TB said in his video it's the cheapest it's ever been outside of the humble bundle. The game itself does not go on sale usually. So go for it. Weighing up the dlc, it seems that the season pass gets you the most meaty DLC is size and content. But there is another piece that's outside that pass. Here in the uk, it's actually cheaper buying all three separate then the pass+ content.
Now I'm lost. Are you talking about Darksiders 2 DLC? Steam page lists only:
...
EDIT: LOL, nevermind. That "See all (DLC)" button was quite small... So what are the DLCs worth getting, for single-player? Even if it means "just" extra weapons, vehicles, characters, whatever?

Ack, DLC madness... maybe I'll give Darksiders 2 another "season pass", and get back to it next year. As said, still playing the first game.

So I guess the Sleeping Dogs DLC won't go for more than 50% off.

- Season Pass
- The Demon Lord Belial
- Abyssal Forge

and the little I could understand from the DLC descriptions, Season Pass is a combo of TDLB + AF, even though it doesn't cost any less than buying them separately? Or are they _still_ making more DLC that might be included in the Season Pass? Or is there some other existing DLC that Steam doesn't have?

Fecking DLC, always as hard to figure out...
I think hes talking about Season pass since it have all the meaty content. The others are wepons and armors.About the making more dlc who got the Darksiders rights?Maybe them got a something in the sleeve.

Endzville: SOLD! Thanks for the heads up. :P

amok: I just found out - if you are on a newish system you need a legacy PhysX driver to make the game run, if not it crashes at the menu screen.

It can be found here:

http://www.nvidia.com/content/DriverDownload-March2009/confirmation.php?url=/Windows/9.12.1031/PhysX-9.12.1031 -SystemSoftware-Legacy.msi&lang=us&type=Other
If you have a NVidia card, it is a good idea to have the legacy drivers as there are a few games that will rely on them=)

I still hope that it might. Maybe towards the end.

Know what? I'm just not going to buy it now. God knows during the christmas sale it went 75% off maybe three times. So I can wait.

Yeah, I am taking the wait and see approach also. It will eventually be 75% off=)

keeveek: Most steam games are chaper outside steam.
Not for me, unless it's an indie bundle.

Crosmando: Wow, I told you it was gonna be mediocre, and I was right yet again. GOG's sale was way better.
You do realize that there are still 9 days of sales left, right?

avatar
amok: I thought gog's sale was pretty mediocre... it did not wow me at all.

And all sales was just repeats from the mid-summer day sale, after that day you have seen all that they have to offer, made it a little bit pointless.
Common sense doesn't work with Crosmando. Forget about trying to convince him with rational arguments.

Ah fair enough. Apparently the Season Pass includes some Maker armour set. Do any of the DLC pieces besides the SP include it?

Okay, then wake me up when Steam puts a discount on a good game. I haven't seen one so far.

Sure man, sure. No good games have been discounted at all, all the games on Steam suck.

Good Steam games that aren't available elsewhere DRM-free? Hmmmm.... I suppose there's the Half-Life games.... And KOTOR II (modded)... Morrowind (modded) I guess? Well, there you go son, 4 good games, go have fun.

Vast majority of Steam's stock is some of the worst mainstream shovelware shit imaginable, crappy console ports galore. There's more worth in a few of GOG's classic than the entire Steam store, the only reason these sales are successful is because of Westerners with high disposable incomes who just buy them because they're cheap, and will likely never play them.

Granted there's some decent indie games on Steam, but none which aren't available elsewhere without Steamworks DRM slapped on them.

Sure yeah, celebrate your Steam sale, celebrate collecting a backlog of worthless games you don't own.

Ow wait, that's not what you said before.

It would be awesome to find some kind of statistics like how many people actually play their games bought from sales and some correlation between percentage of playing their games nowadays compared with 10 or even 20 years ago when it was more common to not have a backlog.

Anyway, why do you keep on preaching with your elitist agenda? People rarely change, they will play what they want and why shouldn't they? People that like console games turning over to what you consider acceptable games would be like you playing console games so stop it, you won't "turn" anyone.
