Crosmando: I've heard of that actually, made by French indie, I think the "combat" system is non-violent or something, as in you have to "outlast" the enemy. Don't quote me though, I don't own it

Stooner: I'm quoting you just because you asked not to quote... but thanks for your comment... ;p

Austrobogulator: Do you know if all the Winter Voices episodes have been released yet?
avatar
Stooner: I know next to nothing about the game... Just that it looks pretty good.
And that there are 6 episodes on Steam. ;p

Update: nope, the game website says:
"Winter Voices Ep. 6 - Last Episode

Soon...
"
Hm, ok, I guess I'll just hold off until then =|

Stooner: Any chance of Half-Life games being cheaper than 75%?
Hey man, if you want, I have a spare copy of Half-Life 1 sitting there on my steam inventory accumulating dust. I would not mind giving it away.
If you (or anyone) want it, just add me on Steam and when I get back home I give it to you.

Steam ID: FAButzke

I'll post here again if it's already taken, but since you asked first, you have the priority =D
Want Defiance but on very limited budget until I get paid next week
To be honest thought these first day deals are either games I own are kind of overall meh deals
Also Toki Tori 2 came out either today or yesterday and is already on sale is a big moment to think "Screw you" to the developers

It came out at the same time the sale started, and these days, it's not uncommon for games to be slightly cheaper for a few days after release - so it makes perfect sense to take advantage of the summer sale. 34% is a bit higher than usual, but it's hard to get away with less for a featured discount.

I happen to have some -10% coupons for the game, and they do stack with the current discount. If anyone wants one, just let me know.

BlueJayOnToast: I wish Fallout 3 worked on Windows 7
avatar
Neobr10: It doesn't? I have Fallout 3 GOTY from the now defunct D2D but i still haven't installed it. It doesn't make sense, Fallout 3 isn't that old and uses the same engine as Oblivion, Skyrim and New Vegas and they all work fine on Windows 7.
On the store page it says it isn't optimized for Win 7, but I imagine this is just a disclaimer since the game was released after Win 7 and developed for XP/Vista instead. From what people have said, I think it will most likely still work, though maybe not as well as it does on XP/Vista.

(New Vegas uses a slightly modified version of Fallout 3's engine, Skyrim actually uses a different engine completely :) )

It works, you only have to edit the .ini file to use multicore processing or something like that because of stability issues on Win7.
OH HAI :)

these catched my attention, fellow GOGers:
Jagged Alliance Collector's Bundle $9.99

Sonic Hits Collection $14.99

Also, I have all AoE games from CDs/DVDs, but I'm eager to try the Age of Empires II HD version, it's obscene at $14.99 but it might go lower in the next days.
Also - Clive Barker's Jericho is -75%. It is £0.87

It's funny that this discussion should pop up, as just this weekend I was preparing my copy of Fallout 3 GOTY for archival & getting it to run on Linux. Testing it in Windows 7 before I used the fake xlive.dll to disable GFWL I found that the game would crash immediately whenever I tried running it. However once the fake xlive.dll was installed it worked just fine (although I didn't test the gameplay so further tweaks may be needed to fix any issues there)...
Picked up the new Tomb Raider on Amazon for a better price: $15 (vs Steam's own $25). :)

Still mulling over whether Bioshock Inifinite would be worth $30 to me. I guess it's the lowest price at every place since all the other sites' additional promo codes won't apply to the game. Hm.

Also eyeing Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate. I'm waiting to see if the price will drop a little before the end of the sale. If not I'm pretty sure I'll snag it one way or another.

That's all I'm really interested in getting from this season.

Heretic777: Here is my wishlist for this summer sale:

1. Half-Life 1 Anthology = $3.75 (bought today already in daily deal)
2. Fallout New Vegas Ultimate = $5
3. Sacred 2 Gold = $5
4. Chaser = $1.25

Cant really think of anything else that i want. I usually find a hidden gem during the sale that i overlooked.
Sacred 2 Gold is on sale on Amazon for 5$ these days and it has a Steam key.

I figured you would perhaps be interested in knowing it :)

Probably because the Gamebryo engine is temperamental, you never know what combination of driver, OS, hardware and just regular game/engine bugs will cause it to crash.
Still, they are both (IMO) an amazing amount of fun.
I've finished both of them at least three times each, even when the third playthrough of NV was crashing every 30 minutes.
Heck, I'm even playing NV for a fourth time these days.

I just found out - if you are on a newish system you need a legacy PhysX driver to make the game run, if not it crashes at the menu screen.

It can be found here:

Some cool games :]

Star Wolves is on a massive sale, but I'd rather get it from GOG to support them :p

Edit: link fixed thanks to Spinorial.
