sweet! thanks for the heads up. one problem, though. this doesn't leave much time for the gog summer sale. can't think that they would want to compete with Steam. and surely they don't want to put theirs on afterward. still though, maybe it's because of Galaxy somehow. yay summer sale!

Bigs: Perhaps... but for a big enough discount I'll give it a shot... and it'll hold me over till the new Elite is released (screw Star Citizen right off...)
I'm sure you already know it but have you tried Oolite ?
I was aware of Oolite... However...

I think they're just cycling different times, the last few years they were putting it later and later by a week/couple of weeks at a time, probably to throw other retailers off planning theirs around it. Now a curveball by throwing it early.

GOG used to be in Summer sale the last couple of times and dump their 'Let's put every package we're going to have on sale for the rest of the sale on sale today!!' day just before the Steam Summer sale started. I guess if they start now they could still do that.

I don't want to be a damper, but... nothing. I stopped buying from Steam when I signed up on GOG. It 's not a big loss for me, though: the only AAA title I'm interested in right now is The Wicher 3, and I already own it here. For what concerns the rest, I can find almost anything I want elsewhere, the only three exceptions being "Super Meat Boy", "Vampire The Masquearde: Bloodlines" and "Metro: Last Light". I *might* buy them sooner or later, but only if they are up for little more than nothing on Humble; I surely hope they will be released both DRM-free and non-Steam one day.

katya_stevens: Doubt many reviewers are going to do a retrospective and re-review on it though.
The biggest German gaming magazine did a new test, based on 2.0... The new rating is 53%, the old one was 44%. Quite an improvement, but... I still wouldn't risk it. I'm a huge X-fan (played the former titles thousands of hours) and from what I read, the game is broken beyond patching. Not because of bugs, but because of the whole game design. Forget about Rebirth, play X3 Terran Conflict instead. Still a great game.
SMB should be easily enough available DRM free through humblestore or retail

https://www.humblebundle.com/store/p/supermeatboy_storefront <-- not on sale at the moment, but definitely DRM free

Seems you're right. My mistake! :)
I thought it was DRM-free but Steam exclusive, while instead it should be DRM-free AND coming with a separate Steam key, if I understtod correctly.

The first two have been available DRM-free before (Humble Bundle & DotEmu), so hopefully they will be again sooner or later (but you never know).

EDIT: nvm, ninja'd again :)

FYI GG has a summer sale going on now and IT SUCKS! :P I have a nice list of games in there wishlisted (titles I obviously can't get here or I would) and they don't have any of them marked down. Right now it's just a bunch of Sega crap. XD

those titles you have wishlisted are likely to coe around on one sale or another though
Wouldn't hold my breath on VtMB being DRM free anytime soon (unless it's DRM free on Steam) as it was removed from DotEMU ages ago and has been sold exclusively on Steam since (usually for $20 iirc - down to $5 on sale) - luckily I snagged a copy while it was still available on Dotemu
